The porterhouse is a nice & large steak. It was tender & juicy. I was able to carry home half for a later meal. Onc can choose a salad with a side or 2 sides for upcharge. The place was not busy at all. Our waiter worked at the bar & as our waiter. That was just fine. He was amazing. Not too talkative, & perfect service. Unlimited bread comes with the meal & real butter. Real butter is rare...like my steak. There are covid germ boards put up that look nice, add privacy & I hope they stay up. If u get a drink you can make it half bigger or bigger by 50% for only $2.50. We were expecting to be there for a leisurely hour & a half to relax but service was fast...like fast food fast. No complaints about the fast service but I may not dress up next time If going at 5:45. Surprised @ such a good steak for practically nothing. My wife got a chicken dish that was smothered w/ cheese and a fettuccine sauce of sorts and it was equally as delicious and we shared it. I'm not sure the name of her dish but she was extremely happy with it and it was also extremely extremely inexpensive. Our whole entire meal was just over $50 I'd give an extra star if possible. By the way our hostess was also out of this world. We talked about 3 minutes and she's from Northwestern Arkansas. So things started off right from the very beginning. Also plenty of room in the booths for a tall & big buy like me or baby carrier. The hostess look at me and sizeed me up. I didn't have to ask if this former linebacker would fit in a booth. That's awesome! I'd rather be quietly told the truth that I would not fit then get to the booth and have to be asked to move. I even chatted with my hostess about this. No loud tv's everywhere. Quite & relaxing environment. Temp was perfect 64 degrees. Sorry so jumbled but I was just typing things out as I remembered it. Awesome meal & price. People were...
Read moreWhere to start... We had a party of 15. Called to see if we can make a reservation for 6:30pm and was told no. One of our group couples showed up and put us on the list at 5:30pm. We didn't get seated until 8pm and didn't get our drinks until 8:25pm. I ordered the fire roasted corn on the cob, baked sweet potato, crispy brussel sprouts, and a cup of french onion soup. My son ordered the kids steak (Med rare) and french fries. My mother had the fire roasted corn on the cob, loaded baked potato, and a cup of French onion soup. The soup was yummy. The corn was raw with a little char. It was like they just rolled it on the screaming hot cook surface for 5 seconds and then added the toppings. Potatoes were cooked well. My boys steak was loaded with black pepper I even choked on it. I understand they had a few large parties but a 3 hour wait to be seated, sub par food, and the price way expensive. My Mother and I just got side items, which were $5.50 each. My boy's was $10 which would have been an appropriate price if I wouldn't have to wash it before he can eat it. The total came to $50+ We will not be back. Our poor waitress had our huge group and other tables too. Which can be very frustrating. She did the best she could. I applaud her for coming in and working so hard. The hostesses is another story. At one point during our 3hr wait for a table we were told they were waiting for one more table to finish paying then we will be ready to be seated. 30 minutes go by and they sat other people. It was as if they forgot about us. I asked them to check on the table and they had a panicked look between the two of them. The one hostess went to talk to the lady that told me about the table situation (assuming her being the shift lead) which finally led to us being seated...
Read moreWe were spending a rare family day out on a Sunday afternoon and really wanted lunch at LongHorn. Our tastebuds wanted their ribeye sandwiches. After waiting 30 minutes for a table, we were a party of 4 taken to a huge corner table that would seat 8-10, when the restaurant was half empty. We asked for a smaller table so we could be more comfortable and not have to sit so far apart. The "hostess", heaving a big sigh for the inconvenience, told us to pick one. We moved 3 tables over and she, carrying plates from our huge table, dropped them on the table. Not placed - dropped them. We sat down and realized the booth seat had a HUGE tear in the middle of it, but looking around we noticed there were very few booths that did NOT HAVE HUGE TEARS in them! We discussed moving to a table with chairs, because there was no way to sit in the booth without sitting on the tear. But we didn't get that far. It was 2:00 and we realized we had been given the dinner menu instead of the lunch menu. When we asked for the lunch menu the "hostess" said in a snarky tone that they were ONLY serving dinner today. Not only did the dinner menu not have what we came there for, but everything on it had the dinner prices, most of which are almost double the lunch prices.
Given the staff's attitude and the disrepair of the facilities, we decided to just get up and leave before the waitress ever showed up.
SOOOOO incredibly disappointed when LongHorn has been one of our favorite...
