8/27//25 Most Recent Visit After reading some of these recent reviews, something is going on OR NOT going on in the kitchen! Our food (as others have indicated) was not cooked well at all. The pinto beans were very hard (about 1/2 done); the carrots were not done (couldn’t stick a fork in them); the meatloaf was really scorched on top, dry inside. Someone needs to monitor this kitchen staff. I spoked at length with a manager (15 yrs Cracker Barrel experience). She apologized as she explain that the “home office” had “sent down” new packaged food and cooking instructions. It seems there is now less stove top cooking (stewing, frying, boiling, simmering in pots & pans) and more “cooking” of the vegetables in the ovens for specified periods of time. So the food is not always checked for “doneness” before being served! If this is part of the “New Cracker Barrel,” then there will sufficient parking spaces for those unsuspecting customers who enter the door. CRACKER BARREL EXECUTIVES, listen up!
8/15/25 update I did a call in for curbside pick up for 2 dinners with exact same items. The food cooked perfectly. However, when opening the order at home, the same side was missing from both dinners. I called and spoke with the manager who quickly apologized for this. She offered to delete the charge for these items from my credit card charge amount. This was an easier fix that returning for the items or waiting to use a credit on my next visit. I appreciate that CB will now do this as it has not been offered in past instances. I am hopeful that CB overall is really trying to improve its service.
10/31/24 Update We were in for dinner at approx 4:30 on Thursday. Great service by Kaylee B . . . most pleasant, courteous, and efficient. She got our orders just right and kept checking on us. The food — chicken ‘n dumplings, turkey ‘n dressing with various vegetables — was delicious and warm! One of the best meals that we have eaten at Cracker Barrel. The portions were most ample.
7/26/24 Update Online order and pickup today. A perfect experience . . . easy to order, order ready on time, check in worked well, quick response, orders 100% correct, good food temps, large servings, good taste.
3/5/24 This is an update: We were in for breakfast at approx 8:30 AM on Tuesday. Several customers, but not packed. We were seated and served very quickly. Health rating 95. All service was very good. The food was excellent. I tried the “Benny Biscuit” (CB’s version of Eggs Benedict; very good). There was adequate servers and a manager was actually walking the dining area frequently.
Curbside pickup order. The online check in did not result in an on time delivery. Phone calls to the curbside pick up number were never answered. A call to the store was answered but when transferred no follow up answer. Finally after a 15-minute delay, a young lady leisurely brought it to our car. On her return to the store, she stopped and had a several minutes conversation with a young man in a car who pulled up behind us and prevented us from leaving our parking space. This Cracker Barrel location needs some management attention and customer service training. It has never been known for exceptional service, in or out. There is just not a...

Very disappointed. Thanksgiving. Waited until afternoon hoping the crowd would thin. Wait was around 40 minutes. Not bad, considering.
As we waited, we browsed which as everyone knows is C.B.'s plan. Two different employees approached me as I was looking at ornaments and got WAY to close to me; like shoulder to shoulder close. Both tried covering their true motive by telling me about sales. I told the second one I was really not trying to steal anything. She apologized and said C.B. made them do it. (Hence the 2 stars for atmosphere.)
Meal was not up to par. The ad shows 2 pieces of turkey. We got one each. We assumed because they were running low. Also, the portion sizes were half what the picture shows. Our sweet potato casserole had NONE of the stuff that makes it "casserole". It was just a spoonful of mushy, spiced & sweetened sweet potatoes. No nuts, no crunchy topping. Obviously, the dregs.
We asked if we could substitute turnips for green beans. We like their green beans, but we had a crock pot full at home and just wanted something different. Were told no substitutions. Husband does not eat pumpkin but again no substitutions allowed. O.K. so we would just be content with the green beans and he would forego dessert. That's when we were told they were out of green beans and we would be getting corn. Hmmm? When our food finally arrived there was no corn, but carrots. Again, hmmm? However, we were glad for the carrots because they at least added a modicum of nutrition. The biscuits were very good. We were served no cranberry sauce and the pie had no whipped cream. Small things? Yes. But don't advertise what you aren't going to deliver. I mentioned the cranberry sauce and our waitress brough it with our dessert. LOL The pie was very cold...just barely thawed and the crust was just this side of raw. The pies come pre-cooked and frozen but they are supposed to be warmed and the crust browned before they are served. They were just pulling them out of the box, slicing and serving. How do I know? We have both managed in the food service industry.
SOMEONE DID NOT PLAN WELL for the crowd! C.B. should not be running out of food on a holiday. And if they are going to cut portions to ration food then give a discount and tell people in advance. Most people would understand and appreciate the honesty.
All in all, $16.99 + tax and tip ($40.00 + for 2 people) is too much to pay for such small portions. We are not big eaters but we do like to receive what's advertised. We probably won't go on a holiday again but if we do, we'll just order from the menu.
Our waitress was very upbeat and trying to do her very best! She kept apologizing to us and other guests. None of this was her fault. The only reason I gave 3 stars for service is because service includes more than...
Read moreOk. For starters i downloaded the app and pre ordered 4.5 hours beforehand. Went ahead and left a tip when i ordered WISH I HAD NOT DONE THAT. they were very disorganized. It was chaotic. My Husband and i really dont have alot of spare time because we work a million hours a week so our time is very precious to us. I get there, check in and do some shopping in the gift shop. Well i check out with my items, am still waitingfor my pre ordered to go order when after 15 more minutes am told by the cashier that they do not have what my Husband wanted. Sigh. Okay so i call my Husband who is still at work mind you and ask if there was something else he would like. Well. He had to stop what he was doing and go and check out the menu. He figured out what he wanted so i had to wait until another person came out to get that order and when my Husband switched what he wanted he also switched to biscuits instead of cornbread muffins. Allright time is wasting i am kindly just checking out things again when a different person (the third i have dealt with at this point) approaches me and says hey we do have what you originally wanted. Are you for real like come on. Apparently they have zero communication at this place. So when i told her ok we want what we originally ordered BUT my husband decided he wanted biscuits instead she said ok. Ok so what seemed like forever passed, the order was finally ready. I asked do i need to check it so she cut the bag for me which was nice i will give her that and we started looking through it. My 5$ take home meal was flipped on its side mixing it all together so i said i need another bag. My Husbands biscuits were not even in there so i said i need those had to wait even longer for her to run and get those. This whole experience was completely pitiful. I told all 3 people i dealt with that we were unhappy about all this and the 2 females apologized and the guy acted like he didnt care at all. Didnt offer any discount, any free dessert. Which would not have given our wastwd time back but would have been a nice gesture nonetheless. Waste of time waste of money. Get home and had no maple syrup for my pancakes which was a bummer also when i looked on the receipt it had a check mark beside it. Do they just simply not care about life because i cant tell. I would have asked to speak with a manager but at this point i wanted to get as far away from that place as possible. Very dissapointed wont be going back. Oh and the meatloaf had no flavor at all and was dry. ...
