I normally don't leave reviews, but in this situation I am and I'm not gonna go on some long story about it either so here goes. 9:00pm. We wanted some wings for supper and I've been wanting to try this place out so I looked them up and the hours say they are open until 12am. I look up what we want and I first call in to place my order. I called three times and I got no answer at all so I went for option 2 and placed my order online that came to $46.51. It said it will be ready in 20 minutes. We head to the restaurant to pick up our order and pull in to the parking lot it it looks like a ghost town, but the lights are on in the restaurant and the open sign is on. When I walk up to the door it's locked and I notice that no one is inside. I knocked on the door, as my wife is calling the establishment. I finally see one lone guy in the kitchen and I get his attention after 5 minutes or so and he just looks at me and says we're closed and walks back in the kitchen. At this time another man who works for door dash pulls up in his car and comes to the door. I told him the door was locked and the guy inside said they were closed, but it clearly says they are open until midnight online and on the door, as well as, the open sign being on. The door dash guy says they up and close early for time to time for no reason so he had to cancel the door dash order. We'll I'm still standing at the door trying to get the guys attention so I can figure out how to get a refund. (While im at the door, i had two different families pull up to this place to get wings and i had to explain to them that they were closed.) He came out again and said WE ARE CLOSED!! this is when I held my phone up to the door to show my receipt and stated that I had already placed an order and if your closed, I need a refund. He finally came to the door and said that he was really sorry for closing early, but it was just too much for him tonight and he didn't feel great so he closed. He said I could come back in the morning and get a refund. So that was that. Here is what really grinds my gear and made me leave this review. If you don't feel good and have to close early, all of this would have been avoided in the first place if you just answered the phone when I called to place an order and said you were closing early. I should definitely not have to inconvenience my Saturday morning plans to come back to the restaurant to get a refund because yall closed early, but still took my order. Put a message on your phone saying your closed early, put a sign on the door saying your closed and turn the open sign off!! I was going to leave a one star review, but I bumped it up to a 2 star, due to them refunding my money back within an hour of this fiasco and without me having to go up there to get it. Looking forward to trying these wings in the future so I can possibly leave a...
Read moreWe thought we’d give it a try; always happy to support a new business. I can say we won’t be back. Mostly because the things they need to change they probably won’t. Nice front desk girl. We ordered four ten wing boxes with two sauces in each. We also ordered fried rice, street corn, some extra sauces, and coleslaw They didn’t have any street corn because no one made the sauce is what we were told. Coleslaw tasted like it was commercially made (like Sam’s etc). Every single sauce we tried except the Old Bay rub, was quite sweet! Even the hottest sauce was slightly sweet and not even remotely hot. Disappointing. The worst was that all the wings must be brined or something that involves salt because all of them were almost uneditable! So unnecessary… We had four boxes with two sauces in each, and they had no way to label each boxes so we didn’t mix them up. At the very least, get white clamshell containers, and write on it with a sharpie! There are so many excellent wing places in Florence, the competition is fierce! They just don’t stand up against most...
Read moreThis was my first time at Why Not Wings and my experience was not a good one. I got the 10 piece Why Not flavored wing combo and it was extremely below par. I asked what was the Why Not sauce made out of, but the workers could not tell me. The wings were salty, undercooked, and drenched in teriyaki sauce. There was a hint of sweet chili sauce, but regardless, the why not flavor was a big miss. I was extremely disappointed. The French fries were coated in Lawry’s seasoning salt and the lemonade was 96% sugar. The salt and sugar content in the entire meal was unnecessarily high. I definitely would not recommend to customers who are diabetic or suffering from high blood pressure. All I have for this restaurant is my recommendation to revisit the drawing board and revamp the recipe for both the food and drinks. It was nothing...
