Let’s start saying the food is really good and the place has huge potential… but there are issues…. I went to 2 Birds Coffee on Sept 7th. My plan was do the checkout in the hotel and have breakfast before driving back home after the holidays. I believe it is usual multiple people have the same idea on the end of the holidays and almost at the same time since 10AM checkout is the default in most vacation rentals. So, I arrived with my husband and at the same time multiple groups were coming too. I know this cannot be predicted, but it is possible to imagine which days would be probably with high demand. However, the place was working with only 2 tables outside. Multiple umbrellas and only 2 tables. Ok! We can think it is COVID times, but inside all tables were working, what does not make sense. Inside all tables were working and outside only 2. In the end, everyone was waiting inside to pick up and to go since there were no tables available. While I was waiting my to-go order, I saw a group very upset because they could not even make their order since no one was at the cashier, the group gave up and left. Another couple was getting angry too when I was leaving, and the same reason: nobody was attending them, at least to apologize the delay. I believe the outside area could be like Yelp photos with more tables (covid times requires outside tables). The cashier person should not leave it alone when there are customers there. Of course, when there is no one waiting to order she can help in other tasks, but not when there are multiple customers there. When my order came, there were only the coffees, the grilled cheeses were missing. So they were not paying attention what are each order. I raise it, the girl apologized and the grilled cheeses came some time later. So, the food is really good. It is a place that I will still consider to go next time around Destin, but they really need to improve the service process and training ASAP. Probably, if I have the same service experience next time, I will re-think if I will really still going there. I’m pretty sure that angry group and couple will never come back, and it is not because of the...

Was really back and fourth on giving a 3 or 4 star review, but I know this could have been a 5 star experience. I unfortunately think I just came at a bad time!

Me and my fiancé came through from Destin on the way to 30A and wanted to stop for a coffee and food. It was a Saturday morning around 9:45 am and they were obviously very busy so we thought it would be best to just get it to go.

When we got to the counter to order before the staff member took our order he looked at us and waved his hand over to the very lo bc list of drink tickets they still had to make. I apologized and said I could see they were very busy. When they did take our order they were doing every thing except making eye contact with us and I could tell their attention was on their other guests, which I genuinely understand being frazzled when busy but that was just my first impression being greeted and served here.

We waited about 20 minutes for our lattes and 30 minutes for our food. There’s really nowhere to wait if you are getting takeout so we sat at the bar in the corner and waited. Lattes were not anything special imo, heavy on the milk but I would give them one more try as I do think the food looked very good.

I got the avocado toast which was pretty good and my fiancé got the breakfast entree with eggs bacon and fruit - overall we would have gone elsewhere on this particular day just because we were looking for something quick. But it was obviously busy for a reason! If you’re going on a weekend I would recommend making sure you have plenty of time!

I will say the food I saw others get at their tables looked absolutely amazing and I LOVED the selection of food there. Very health conscious and good quality food available. I may go back in the future to try some menu items, but probably...

Before when we came to 2 birds coffe, we liked everything. The service was best, and everyone was friendly, and the menu was super. Only the salad was delicious, but they do not ask customers whether they want sauces in the salad or on the side.

April 6. 2025 After church, when we came to eat there, at 2 birds cafee, it seemed like we came to a different caffe. They don't work full time, and the service was terrible, not friendly anymore, they didn't bring what we ordered. They brought it more than an hour later, and when they brought the shrimp salad, which we didn't order, they added a terrible smelly sauce (maybe it was spoiled, or maybe it's supposed to be like that), but the taste was just discussing. I asked him to eat at least some shrimp, but he ate 2 pieces and replied, "There are almost none here." Then I asked our waitress (who didn't come up to us even once, the whole time we were eating, or waiting for our order), to change it to what he ordered, It's not like he didn't order it, but we would take it with us, so as not to wait long.

She replied that he would have to pay for it since he ate 2 stamps.

The service has changed a lot, and the menu has changed, and now this is not the same 2 birds caffe as before.

They are very expensive, and for that terrible tasteless food that they changed in the menu, and the service is terrible, it is not worth our time to come to them.

The worst thing is that the waitress started yelling at us in front of all the customers, why is the salad so bad and so on, and on and on, we everyone left.

We do not recommend this 2 birds caffe to anyone. Your time, it is your money, and you pay for it, it is not free there. Think before you come there, do you want to ruin your day?

So, that's why we said goodbye 2...

Ok, we are traveling. So with inflation America is experiencing everything feels like I'm in Dubai without an exchange option 😏 This place took away all that frustration. Bear with me, I know things are extremely hard in this world, yet if we are paying for breakfast out then service is one of those refined, elegant, exceptional chances to feel elevated. Two birds had straws! No no no, they are with it, they donate to local charities, they shop local, they are eco friendly. I'm sick of Starbucks half hearted attempts to sell people less service/options as a goal while increasing prices. That's treating customers as tools. This was a macchiato, this was an Italian macchiato...Thank God for coffee and local businesses loving skill and personal touches. Bagels and lox done like you walked into New York City 🏙️ (p.s., no not Smelly, it smells lovely on the beach and in this shop.) You walk out, into sunshine & warmth & clean beaches. Nice people; southern charm to the core, genuinely kind, not superficial, happy that you chose to come eat, happy to serve and skilled at the art 🎭 of making travelers feel welcome and good at offering that respite that you crave on vacation. Coffee, bagels, breakfast, doughnuts all done superb!

I'll start with why I couldn't give 5 overall stars. Walked in on a Saturday morning at about 11:30. The place was pretty busy only had about three open tables but there were a number of vacancies at the bar. A sign at the bar said; see an employee for bar seating. I waited at the cash machine for someone to inquire, if it was okay to sit at the bar. Finally got the okay to sit at the bar. There were two tables that were seated after us, put their orders in after us, and yet got their food before us. From the time we gave our server the order. It took another 45 minutes to receive it. Allisa, our server was awesome, along with all the other employees super friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely fantastic. I've never had chorizo gravy before, and it was so flavorful and bold. I thought it was cool, an employee was stamping the restaurant logo onto coffee cup insulators. The restaurant, bar area, and outside seat was all very clean and organized. Aside from just a couple, minor issues, I will definitely return.
