Alex's Gyro and Cheesesteaks — Restaurant in Florida

Honestly some of the most disappointing food I've ever had. First, who in their right mind lets one person work alone during lunch hour, that alone baffles me. The one person who did cook my food while a kind person gave me an estimate on how long my food will take to be ready. The problem however is that he gave me an estimation 50 minutes shorter than what it took for my order to be ready.

Now onto the food itself. I order 2 Philly cheesesteak orders for me and my mother. The cheesesteaks themselves were fine enough but not worth the 1 hour and 20 minute wait time. The fries were horrible, somehow they were both freezer burnt and also overcooked in the oil, and on top of that extremely bland. My mother also found a hair in her food.

I had high hopes for this place based off all the 5 star reviews claiming its the best cheesesteak in the Orlando area but its clear to me that this place is well past its prime. Sadly no matter how much I wanted to like this place I don't see myself...

1st...I go there all the time🤷‍♀️ ALEX'S has the BEST FOOD - VERY generous amount, best taste bc of QUALITY food, whatever u get it will b PERFECT. Wide variety of choices, esp helpful and safe for ppl w/severe allergies (me). BEST CHEESESTEAK in Orlando🤷‍♀️ REAL Gyros!!! (I can even get the gyro over rice!!!💕) My entire workplace loves Alex's, and when customers waiting in our lobby ask what's good to eat near here, i tell them "Alex's" and then give them the phone # bc the # is saved in my phone😁. I placed an order through Uber Eats for the Rice Platter. The photo of the rice platter includes onions and other vegetables and pita bread. I have ordered this same meal in the past. When it arrived it was a bed of plain rice with gyro meat on top. The meal was $13.99, which I paid to have delivered, for a total of $25. I called the restaurant to let them know and the owner told me it was my fault that I needed to ask for the things that are shown on the platter in the pic that it doesn’t automatically come with them. He said the picture doesn’t matter, that if you want the things featured in the photo on the platter you need to explain you want those things. I told him I’ve ordered this in the past, And tried to explain that the photo is confusing and he just kept repeating that next time if that’s what I want I need to ask.
