Review: 3/11/25- Lunch- 5 Star service- always a warm welcome! Emily and Day were very attentive and a wonderful addition to the Anthony’s Coal Fired Family! I ordered one my favorites, the Caprese salad . It was delicious as always! The tomatoes were sweet and perfectly ripe and the fresh mozzarella was so yummy .. The ambiance is casual, with just the right amount of TV’s to catch up on sports.. I was too full for dessert this time but next time the cannolis are not to be missed! All of their food is delicious! I highly recommend! 10/15/24 One of my favorite day off lunch spot! Service is always amazing! Estee is welcoming and efficient! She created this delicious presentation of the mini-cannoli's! Truly a work of art! The chocolate shell is yummy but the filling, chocolate sauce and my favorite whipped cream topping is beyond delicious!!! Best ever! Thank you! No one should leave the restaurant without ordering these! Can't wait for my next visit! Love the ambiance!!!
Review of Tuesday June 6, 2023. Once again it’s been a few months since I’ve had lunch here .. work gets in the way… looking forward to a yummy lunch on a very hot Tuesday in June- I was welcomed by Nicole like I was family! She is an absolute gem! I don’t know how Nicole does it but she remembers my white wine of choice! Pinot Grigio! Always service with a smile! Professional, attentive and knowledgeable! Love when they offer new/ returning options on the menu.. (new wine offerings too) Three new delicious options: Italian Sausage & Peppers Sandwich on focaccia bread Caprese Salad Chopped Salad I chose the small chopped salad. When Nicole brought me the salad I was pleasantly surprised! It was huge and packed with ingredients.. I actually thought they made an error and brought me the large.. I was hesitant to clarify.. but I was assured it was the small. You could cater a small wedding with it... easily shared with a table of 4.. Chopped Romaine, red onions, kalamata olives, roasted red peppers, pepperoni, with crumbled gorgonzola, bacon & garbanzo beans tossed in homemade Italian dressing, drizzled with balsamic glaze... really! Absolutely delicious! A perfect combination of generous ingredients.. I ate less than half leaving room for dessert. I’ve enjoyed the cheesecake and the tiramisu both delicious! I’ve read great reviews about their cannolis.. Nicole said they are her favorite and they make them fresh to order. Chocolate was my choice! Wow! The order comes with 4 generously filled cannoli cream… beyond delicious! I ate one and will enjoy the rest at home over time. They are rich, creamy and almost custardy. Not too sweet.. Another perfectly delicious lunch! Even when the restaurant filled up with families, golfers, medical professionals Nicole was attentive and always smiling! A true treasure! Looking forward to next Tuesdays lunch! I...
Read moreWellington Anthony’s Coal-Fired Pizza – $78 for a Soggy, Inedible Mess
I placed an online order for two large pizzas, expecting a decent meal. Instead, I got a total disaster. They didn’t follow my order instructions, gave me the wrong toppings, and somehow managed to serve something that was both floppy and soggy when I specifically requested well-done.
Order Instructions? Completely Ignored.
I clearly asked for well-done pizzas, yet what I received was the opposite—a limp, wet, undercooked mess. The crust was so soft and soggy that it folded in half when I picked up a slice. It was like eating raw dough with barely any structure.
The Pizzas Were Inedible
Let’s break it down: • Crust? Soggy, floppy, and completely undercooked. • Cheese? Oily, uneven, and pooling in certain areas while non-existent in others. • Sauce? Watery and tasteless, like they used a hose to rinse it onto the dough. • Toppings? Wrong. Plain and simple. What I ordered was nowhere to be found.
For $70 + an $8 tip, I expected at least something remotely edible. Instead, I got a pizza that was borderline raw.
The Manager’s Response? Insulting.
When I called to complain, I was met with zero accountability and a ridiculous excuse for a resolution. The manager only offered half off ONE pizza or a discount on my next order.
Why would I ever order from here again? That’s like being served garbage and being told, “Don’t worry, next time it’ll be slightly cheaper!” No thanks.
Corporate Needs to Step In NOW
This is beyond bad service—it’s an absolute failure. If this is how Wellington Anthony’s operates, they need to shut down or get completely new management. The food was a joke, the service was even worse, and their attempt at “fixing” it was laughable.
Final Rating: A Complete Waste of Money
This place is a disgrace to pizza. Do yourself a favor and never, ever order from here. You know, even McDonald’s will make it right when they get it wrong… Go literally anywhere else This...
Read moreThere's a learning curve to eating here. The food is well done, there are signs on the wall, I'm not knocking em for that. I get it. Just ask to not be burnt and they can accommodate. But it doesn't end there. The pizza is thin crust, I don't know if there are other options. They don't have a medium, no biggie. Can't get chicken on your pizza. Can't get ham on your pizza. We order over the phone and we sat in silence half the time because I didn't even know how to answer some of the questions. Is Prosciutto supposed to be "raw or cooked"? Isn't it cured? I don't know. How bout a suggestion?? This is our second time here. I didn't feel fair giving a poor review from everything being well-done, given the management's response making us a new pizza. They put some love into that pizza, it looked amazing! Oh, and their garlic knots were perfect! They have the potential to knock it out of the park. We all have an expectation of service, and I never know what to expect from this place. Teach me. Ask if we've eaten from you before. Give me a rundown. Do you have Specials? What's your fav meal? I felt the need to watch a few hours of coal pizza furnace YT videos because I felt like I was missing something. It's too much work for me to eat here. I don't want to do homework, I just wanted...
