Arby's — Restaurant in Florida

The food is not bad, but this particular cashier/customer service rep leaves a lot to be desired.

While waiting for the food on an order prior to ours, he never acknowledged our presence nor said a word to us until he completed the prior customer’s order, which probably took a full sixty to ninety seconds. His back was to us the entire time. He knew we were there, but not a glance nor a word.

The thing is —there were only two customers in the restaurant and no one in the drive thru so it’s not like he was stressed! What has happened to welcoming someone to an establishment and letting them know you are glad they came in?

He was never rude nor disrespectful but he could care less that we were there. He was cool, business only, and detached.

I made a joke when he said “can I have a good name” and he never looked at me nor responded at all, not even a flinch.

I was more than disappointed in an environment and culture where people are depending on a great customer experience. Now, if he was introverted maybe I’d get it. But based on his later behavior, he is not introverted.

After we got the food and sat down, he lit up talking to his coworkers and joking loudly with them. Where was a little bit of that personality when we were the only customers he had to wait on?

I do kind of feel disrespected because he couldn’t muster up enough concern for our experience to say hello or react to anything we said. ☹️ Thumbs down on engaging the customer.

I’d be more tolerant of the loud conversation behind the counter while we ate if there had been a modicum of responsiveness to us as people and paying customers.

I like to tip, even at fast food places because I understand working in fast food. I have. Not today, thank you. I felt like we were a chore or were somehow undesirable. Sad.

3/25/21 7:15 PM North Fort Myers...

Well first of all when I first arrive. I let Evie kno that I have a free meal card. She told me that they don't take expired coupon. But went ahead and honored it anyway. (That's was nice of her to do) then I'm waiting for my food that they obviously forgot about bcuz the other guest who came in fter me is now getting their food before me. So when they finally notice me the young kid ask me what I order bcuz they didn't have my ticket. Nor did they ask me my name. Which Evie asked everyone but me. Now I have to wait another 5 minute for them to get my order. (Fish and crinkle fires is what I order)I finally get my food after almost close to 20minutes. only to find out that they gave me curly fries when I order crinkled. Long story short they once again forgot about my fries.bcuz I had to go back to the counter and see what was taking my fries so long. When have of ur team don't speak english and they just look at u like your the one doing something wrong when in reality I just want to eat my food together not separate. This is the same reason I got a free meal card the first time is bcuz your they're everywhere . Yall need to really get your team together bcuz yall gonna lose a lot of...

Disgusting food. Sandwiches made incorrectly and when I called the store, they hung up on me. I had to drive all the way back with my incorrect order. (Both sandwiches ordered were wrong) The replacement sandwiches I was given were gross, disgusting and nothing like what they advertise. Bacon Beef and Cheddar had 1 piece of bacon and about 1/2 of the normal amount of beef. The Mountain sandwich was definitely not a "Mountain". The replacement sandwich had half of the amount of meat as the first one that was missing the onion rings. The "short rib meat" was ice cold fat. "Brisket" was 3 small, thin slices. Smoked Ham was spoiled, we took one bite and threw up. The only thing edible was the curly fries. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS LOCATION!

Place was dirty, flies buzzing all over the ordering and cooking areas. Employees did not seem interested in doing their jobs correctly or providing quality customer service. Very disappointing as the employees were all older, not a bunch of teenagers at their first jobs. Person cooking the fries/onion rings did nothing else; couldn't take an order, pack an order, hand out drink cups or sauce...
