If ever there was a place where flavor and hospitality joined forces to conquer the galaxy, Bandeja Paisa Restaurant would be that culinary rebel base!
From the moment you walk in, the cheerful Colombian décor sets the tone — colorful murals, witty ceiling quotes (“Si lo puedes soñar, lo puedes hacer”), and good vibes that would make even a grumpy Sith crack a smile.
🪄 The Service: Out of this world! The staff moved faster than a hyperdrive upgrade and smiled brighter than twin suns. Every guest was treated like family — or at least a well-fed Jedi.
🍽️ The Food: Each dish looked like it was plated for the Galactic Senate! The Paisa Burger con Chicharrón was an absolute masterpiece — a towering burger with layers of ham, bacon, and cheese, crowned with crispy chicharrón and a sausage spear worthy of a lightsaber duel. Served with fries, guacamole, and enough flavor to make the Force tremble.
The rice dish (loaded with chorizo, chicken, veggies, and topped with avocado and sweet plantains) was a tropical explosion of color and taste — pure edible art!
💡 Bonus Points: Menus are displayed on sleek tablets, with bilingual descriptions (Spanish & English) — super helpful for off-world travelers still learning the local dialects.
🌟 Final Verdict: Strong with the flavor, this place is. A hidden gem in the Miami system that turns hunger into harmony. Five shining stars across the galaxy for food, service, and pure heart.

Read moreI waited almost an hour for a glass of water even after reminding the waitress. I was so excited to order the famous dish Bandeja Paisa, which also happens to be the name of the restaurant. It was my first time trying the famous Colombian dish and my first time at this restaurant. It took a long time to be served. A table of people who came in after me actually got served first. I eventually ordered a lemonade with mint. Finally my water came and the young lady who delivered it, apologized. However, my waitress never apologized. The lemonade with mint was the best thing that I tried, but it was ridiculously over priced like 7 or 8 dollars. It was delicious with a frozen slushy style with a lot of herb. The dinner plate was around $21.00 or $22.00. The best things from the plate were the salty white rice and the soupy beans. The piece of steak was like shoe leather. The egg was rubbery with dry yolk. The sausage did not have an exceptionally good flavor. It was ordinary or worse. How do you ruin a sausage? The arepa was very small and very dry. Usually, Colombian restaurants are so warm and welcoming. They failed to provide good customer service, and they failed with the quality of the food. The plate presentation was good. The restaurant had a nice ambience. Needless to say I won't return and don't recommend this restaurant. However, I won't give up! I will go to another Colombian restaurant in search of a better Bandeja...
Read moreTL;DR food was ok service was terrible. Don’t trust the 4.9 rating you get free food for 5 star reviews.
To begin with when our sever who was an elderly lady needed help the other two servers were rolling their eyes and giving her a hard time even thought they weren’t doing anything. On top of that when my girlfriend went up to one of the servers to ask for a soda the girl gave my girlfriend a dirty look and then took 10 min to get the soda even though the whole restaurant only had literally 3 tables.
The food was a mix of good and bad the salchipapas were good, the maicito mixed was good, the taqueños were great but the bandeja paisa was not good the carne asada was not good the the rest was ok but cmon the meat is such an important part of bandeja paisa so it basically ruined it.
To be honest this was all made much worse because I had very high expectations. I drove 30 min to this restaurant thinking the near 5000 reviews and 4.9 rating were proof this place was going to be good. Only to find out that if you give them a 5 star google review they give you some free food and that’s how they got such a...
