It's sad that I have to rate this place 2 stars but I've only been here twice and both times the customer service was appalling. I don't know what is in the air in that restaurant, but every employee I've interacted with is so unpleasant and aggressive for no reason. I've worked in food before and sometimes it gets overwhelming but you never take it out on a customer. The only thing this place has got going for them is that the food is surprisingly delicious. Other than that, management is clearly failing in hiring level-headed individuals.
I ordered a side of pita bread for each bowl my party ordered. The first time I came here, they gave us full pitas and this time I only had one quarter of a pita for both orders. I go back inside (no one in line by the way) to explain the mixup with the cashier and she referred me to the lady packing the foods behind her. This second lady had such a nasty attitude saying "you have to pay for it" and answering me like she had no time to help me out. I was confused and mentioned the free pita and immediately she corrected what she had said and explained the normal pitas are $2 and the quarter of a pita are what's included for "free." That cleared things up for me, now I know. While she handed me back the bag after she assured me both pitas were placed in there. I then asked if I could order a drink and she practically threw a cup at me and said "HERE" and ran off. I said "I can pay for it" with my card in my hand...and she ignored me. I was annoyed enough and decided to carry on and fill my drink. I get back to my car and there's now only 1 pita in there. I decided not to go back in because I didn't want to deal with that person again. She shouldn't be working in customer service, let alone food if she can't handle minimal pressure. I'll be disputing this charge with my bank and won't be returning to...
Read moreThere is always a problem at this Cava location. It is not understaffed, however you would never know that from the service. I have been to this location multiple times due to its convenient location however the wait is always long and the workers are usually rude. There have been multiple times where there are 5 employees and even a manager and they do not care to work. They consistently are out of food items especially the pitas. Every time I have visited they are out of pita chips and then say “you’ll have to wait” no problem, I have no issue waiting on fresh food. However they will try to convince you not to get the item because they don’t want to go to the back and prepare the item. I am finally writing this review because I decided not to interact with them and order online and just pick up my order this time. I placed an order for pita chips and when I opening the bag they were missing. When I said I was missing my chips I purchased they said “I have to make some” … why would you just decide to not give me my purchased item and wait for me to come back and complain? It’s just rude and annoying. At this point I will just have to find another location because this is ridiculous. It doesn’t matter if you go at a slow time or during a rush they have no sense of urgency or customer service skills. The food is still okay at this location however the service needs to be improved. Additionally like another review said they will forget items in your bowl and will refuse to make fresh rice. The rice is cold and burnt on the bottom and they will scoop it right into your bowl...
Read moreIt was my first visit, and it was for an early dinner. They started off with a large sized pita bread which was slathered in hummus and put four 1+1/2 inch or so herb spiced lamb meatballs on there ($14). It then gets moved over to the add-ons where skhug dressing, tomato and cucumber, pickled onions, cabbage slaw, salt brined pickles are all added. Now, let me tell you that those pickles will kick your taste buds hard and I was only half into them. At the time, I did not know what skhug was . I have since googled it to find out that it is typically very hot, garlicky, and herby in flavor. I asked for a little bit of it and a bit of a tzatziki sauce, but both of the sauces were drippy, and it made a huge mess across my fingers, the table and even onto my clothes. Dang it. Taste-wise the meal was good, the meat was not overly spicy, that all kicked in more towards my last two messy bites where I truly felt it. I also went with a refillable drink and was not too happy with the blueberry soda or the other ones - there was an almost soapy lingering aftertaste to them ($3) and the other drink I tasted, the blueberry lavender, barely had flavor. It was closer to water than any infused drink which was disappointing. I would have gone for the lemonade but there was nothing in the bin. Their service was good and friendly, very helpful with the questions I had about the sauces. Will...
