First off, I would like to say that I have been coming to this restaurant for approximately 8 year and NEVER had an issue. In fact, I have bragged about this place and have recommended it to my friends... UNTIL last night 11/13/19. I decided to take my boyfriend (mind you he is a picky eater). When the waitress came over we decided to order the pepper steak, the waitress said they didn't make pepper steak anymore. Really? (I responded) since when? she said for months now. So, we decided on spare ribs, and to my surprise she answered, "We don't have that either". Now, i'm embarrassed because my boyfriend is looking at me with a big surprise/disappointing look. So, he decided to order the house fried rice and the sweet and sour chicken. When the food came, the chicken looked translucent and under cooked. No to mention GREASY. The sweet and sour chicken was soaked in grease. He said that biting into the chicken tasted like a spoonful of oil. He was grossed out. So, he decided to pick through the rice and eat what he could (i would say he ate 3 forkful and the 3 pieces of shrimp that was in it). At that point, I'm assuming that the cashier guy noticed that something was wrong so he approached us. We explained the problem and i kindly asked him to take off the rice from the bill since we couldn't eat it since the chicken was still raw and we didn't want to chance it and get sick from Salmonella. The guy took the plate and in approximately 1 min, he came back and said that the owner could not take the rice off the bill because my boyfriend had eaten the three shrimp and that he would at least have to charge me for shrimp fried rice... REALLY??? I was thrown back and could not believe what was being told to us. Mind you, the plate was still full of rice and looked untouched. I told the guy that it was ridiculous to charge for food that was under cooked and sent back barely untouched. His response, "I'm not the owner, i just work here" Can you believe that? Anyway our waitress never came back to our table and we wrapped it up and went to pay. At the checkout, I asked the guy again why we were being charged and he said, that instead of charging us for Shrimp fried rice, he just charged us for fried rice. The charge was 7.95. I was upset. At that time, I proceeded to tell the guy that I have been coming here for many years and I came all the way from Universal Studios and never had a problem and asked again why he charge me for the rice that was under cooked? His response was, you ate the shrimp and we have to charge you something for it. So I laughed (from anger) and told the guy that it was their problem that it was under cooked and that I was very disappointed for being charge 7.95 for 3 shrimps. I told him I would never go back again and that they lost my business. His response again, "i just work here". I don't know what has happened to this place, but it was a total disappointment. The right thing for them to do was to take off the charge, apologize and offer something else in exchange, but none of that was done. I will never go back and would advise everyone to inspect their food before consuming it. I wouldn't even give it a one star but couldn't leave a...
Read more3-6-9 has always been an incredible local Chinese Restaurant in the Winter Springs/Oviedo area and our "go to" spot. But a recent experience showed us just how dedicated the owner and his staff are to their customers.
During a recent family gathering to honor the memory of my sister we decided to use Door Dash to deliver our food as we had a coupon and so that no one would have to run out to get the meals, enabling us to spend quality time together. When the food was delivered, we were missing a meal. We called Door Dash multiple times and received no answer, so with no other option available we called 3-6-9.
The staff and owner at 3-6-9 were dedicated in figuring out what happened to this mysterious disappearing meal as it showed on our original order. We discovered there had been an error on Door Dash's side, but with no one responding to us from their end, we were a bit stuck. Finally, the owner of 3-6-9 decided to drive the order over to our house as we were now going on 20 minutes of trying to sort this out.
The meal received was very hot and fresh, and as always - all the meals we had that night were great. But it was truly in their customer service and stepping up where another company had failed to do so that 'wowed' us and showed us how dedicated the 3-6-9 team is to our community and making things right -- especially on a night where we were all struggling a bit. Moving forward, we'll just order directly from them and cut the middle man...
Read moreFood is good most of employees are nice however we have had two experiences That made us to never come back. Today I tried calling for delivery they took my debit card info and said that they don't take this type of card even though I used it multiple times and wanted to know what brand it was and even when I told them they said it won't work I ask for manager and they said good luck with that I am the owner I called back and they answered and ignore me on phone.
I went down to talk to different lady in person showed her my cards and she said they take those cards inform her of issues and still they said all they ask was the type of card I explained there still shouldn't be an issue cause I had to call different Chinese restaurant and when I gave them the typical card info to pay over the phone they didn't ask me all the questions they asked me.
The first issue was when we ordered delivery for my wife I was at work and she waited two hours for delivery no one came she called multiple times no answer she has to go down and her food was sitting on the table and owner just goes and says oh yeah it's been sitting there and no apology
Both times I had to go in person to complain and nothing improves to he owners and mangers have poor customer service I will never come here again and don't...
