While it's easy to say, if you've been to one Chili's you've been to them all, I'm not sure that's true. I've been to several and while they've all been okay, this is definitely my favorite. This place has turned into a traditional meeting spot for me and an old, old friend and we wouldn't think of changing it. The staff is particularly friendly, the food is always delivered to order and my favorite part, you almost never have to wait for a beer.
This Chili's franchise isn't new, having been on Merritt Island for at least ten years, but the building is neat and clean, the parking is easy, though I do have to say I've never liked the driveway scheme. From the street the two separate driveways both seem to be plausible entrance/exit points, but at least one of them is one-way only and I always seem to be trying to use the wrong one. My fault, or theirs? (I'm thinking the customer is always right, so it must be theirs. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.)
Once you get inside though, it's a nice place. Yes, it's got a vibe that it was decorated by a corporate committee, but given that, it's not bad. There are some TV's but they don't jump out at you from every corner. It's not a sports bar, so you won't find every game being played.
The reasonably priced menu is available on-line and you might want to check it in advance to see if it's to your fancy. You'll find mostly typical bar fare, but I've never had a problem finding something good. They change it up often enough to provide a good variety for the regulars. I'd like to think there are more of them than just us. That being said, it's not unusual for us to get one of their appetizer sampler specials and just have that for our lunch while we shoot the proverbial breeze. We also very much appreciate the daily happy hour specials they have and their full bar seems to be nicely stocked. The draught beer selection is okay but not huge. That doesn't bother me particularly because I'm easily satisfied on that front these days, and they always have my go-to suds.
The bathrooms are always neat and tidy, and large enough to avoid those uncomfortable, foot-tapping waits in the hallway.
Give them a shot. We'll definitely be back.
BTW - we get there early when they open at 11 on weekends, so in these pics, there wasn't anyone else there yet, but there's generally a pretty good lunch crowd by the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am leaving this review as a compliment for the wonderful staff who charged me for a game or some sort of tablet thing, as I donāt want anyone to be fired. It was completely our fault, we are bad people and we accept responsibility, for patronizing this business and in no way blame anyone for showing up so late, and this is not this businesses problem at all however, My wife and I (and 1 year old child) went here on a Thursday at 7:30 at night and were seated to the left side of the entrance. After waiting an hour, ( which we should have waited probably longer because we are human garbage and do not deserve respect) were asked for our drink order, in which we (as probably rude customers) ordered a draft beer and tap water. After about another 15 minutes we received our warm beverages much too our deluge and excitement. Itās refreshing to get service at all while patronizing an establishment like this as a veteran and we are much appreciative to even be acknowledged in a chain restaurant like this. Moving forward, my wife ordered an appetizer sampler of three items and I ordered a delicious sounding burger. As we were just resting a table next to us was seated and weāre gleefully greeted by the very welcoming staff. After another quick hour or so the table by us was very upset that there order (an appetizer sampler) was made incorrectly and they were quite upset but given my military background and pregnant wifeās determination we were willing to wait this out. Unfortunately, our server had served our food to the other table (mistakes happen and that is ok) however, we were never served our food. Not wanting to cause a scene I tried to just pay for the food and drinks we ordered to make it right so the server would not be fired. Luckily the manager came and chargers us for the food we were not served and threatened to call viera police on us for ādisturbing the peaceā. I want to extend an apology to everyone involved and I truly apologize for being a bad person. I am so sorry for showing up at the restaurant at 7:30 and causing an issue. I feel so bad to put this place in such a position. NO ONE IN VIERA should show up to this place so late and expect this to happen. Iām embarrassed and ashamed that I did this. As a veteran, I know better. As a human I will be better. I hope this place moves forward without pieces of human garbage like me. I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to dinner with a friend who had done me a huge favor to repay her for her kindness. I usually always like to go to Chiliās and while I still did enjoy this time, the food was not as well prepared as it normally is. I order the same dish so I can always tell when something is off. This time it was a lot off. The spice was not there and the pasta was mussy. My friend is allergic to garlic and onions and her steak was topped with the butter garlic sauce even though she specifically asked for no seasonings and the reason for this request. The person who had added the butter garlic sauce did come out and apologize to her. He saw the steak up to be delivered and though it was missing the final touch, so he added it. His name was Joey and without him our visit would have been barely a one star. Our waiter barely paid any attention to us at all. Joey, on the other hand was kind and attentive. He made sure we had a wonderful time and his sense of humour was wonderful. He fixed the bill which was completely off (more than double what we actually owed). He also made sure we had everything we needed and in a timely fashion. One of the many reasons we go out to eat is so that we can enjoy our evening and have fun. Without Joey this would not have happened this time. Hiring, and keeping, good (maybe even great) employees is a must (for any organization). I would suggest thought that the sanitation of the table, chairs or benches and the pay machine be thoroughly cleaned between customers. ...
