Oh me oh myโฆ.Day 1 of posting a review about General Manager Carla until her interaction with my family is investigated. My family and i came to get chipotle after playing tennis for hours so we are excited for our food and weโve been coming to this location since 2013 because the food is typically fresh. We purchase 4 bowls and paid for any double meat and any sides that are extra ( receipt shows this as well ), we are a party of 4 and my 3 family members got no more than 5 sides combined for themselves but i forget to order mine. So before we get to dig in i figured Iโd go and ask for a side of corn and hot sauce since i DIDNT get any sides prior to this. I go up to the counter and was greeted by general manager Carla who begins to tell me that sheโll have to charge me for the sides. I told her i think this Is a misunderstanding , we purchased food here and are sitting over there Iโm not just buying sides for myself i just forgot to ask for them. Carla proceeds to tell me that the store manager and her scoped out our party at our table and discussed between each other that my family and i โ had too many extra toppings on our bowl and too many extra sides โ therefore any additional will be paid for. I asked her again to clarify, so before i even approached you, you and your manager congregated and decided that our table had too much food that we PAID for and will be charged for anything additional. She said yes.
I told her i would completely understand if i was coming back for a 4th or 5th side for myself but i was coming for my first. At this point my family sees this very distasteful interaction and my brother comes to the counter to see whatโs going on and proceeds to show the receipt showing we paid for everything and that i didnโt get any sides to begin with. I asked her if i had paid separate and sat separately away from them would i be charged for these two sides and at this point she told me โ either pay the 3$ or im going back to work โ and im just caught off guard by the blatant disrespect and laugh. I was trying to give her any benefit of the doubt that i can find so i assumed maybe this is a policy thatโs just not strictly enforced so i proceed to ASK HER and her response will AMAZE YOU!! i asked Carla is there a certain amount of sides that you are allowed for free per bowl? She said no. I then asked her so who decides if itโs too many sides to the point where it needs to be paid for, she says HER ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ I clarified again and gave her a chance to save face. I asked so itโs under your discretion that i have to pay for these sides in this specific scenario despite NOT GETTING any sides to begin with? She proudly replied yes and yet again i just had to smile and laugh to myself. This is clearly an abuse of power and she went out of her way gossiping about our table before i had even spoken to her. Iโm sure Carla is a great mother/wife/sister and i mean no harm but i like to call a spade a spade and idk if this was discrimination, retaliation for last time ( my sister had a bad experience at this location months ago ) , or just someone getting a job title and letting the power get to their head over 3$ worth of sides. Itโs unfortunate but Iโm glad to have shared my story and i will be back tomorrow for Day 2 of posting reviews until this is handled accordingly....
ย ย ย Read moreI went to this location while I was visiting the Optical next door. There was a pregnant patient at the optical that asked for water, but the business only had a filtered water fountain but no bottled water, nor plastic cups. I walked into chipotle and asked for a cup of ice, I was given the cup and filled it with ONLY ice. Once I exited the restaurant and went back inside of the Optical to fill the cup of ice with their filtered water to give to the patient, I noticed I was followed out of the restaurant by a woman who I believe is the store manager. When I entered, she was in the kitchen area, she wasnโt the employee that gave me the cup to fill with ice. She questioned the store manager of the optical about who I was and if I filled the cup with a flavored drink instead of getting only ice like I asked. I assured her that I filled the cup with only ice, no water, and gave it to a pregnant patient that was thirsty during her eye exam. During my explanation, the Chipotle manager talked over me to the store manager as if she did not care to hear my explanation. Once the store manager of the optical agreed with my statement, Chipotle manager responded โMm, okay.โ and went back into chipotle.
I was under the impression that a cup of ice at Chipotle was free. It seemed that it wasnโt since I was followed out of the store to be confronted about it. I walked back to chipotle to pay for the ice, cup or whatever it was that they assumed I didnโt pay for. When I entered, I was not greeted, but the employee at the front and the employee that followed me into the optical looked at me and then had a short conversation to themselves. I walked to the counter and was willing to pay for the cup of ice but the employee that followed me into the optical said it was a misunderstanding and smiled. I asked multiple times if she was sure and she assured me everything was fine. Upon my exit, someone else entered and received the loudest โHEY FRIEND!!!โ Before they could fully enter the door.
I visit this chipotle whenever I am at the optical next door and have never had an experience like this where I was followed out of the restaurant, thinking I took more than what I asked for and blown off when explaining myself. Also, purposely not acknowledging me upon entering but can loudly acknowledge the next patron as they enter while I am exiting. Very disrespectful and...
ย ย ย Read moreSince it has been 3 consecutive negative experiences, I think it would only be appropriate and justified to inform others of the wretched situation that this chipotle is.
I might as well should have ordered my barbacoa with gravel. The rice that they serve is consistently undercooked. I had to check my molars to see if they were okay after crunching through a mouthful of my burrito.
Although, unfortunately nothing in this economy is inflation-proof, the serving size of the bowl is insultingly miniature. WWII rations could feed me better.
The service is passing grade if you expect to wait for the team members to slowly gather motivation to simply even recognize there is a customer in front of them. I feel like I could probably go around the counter myself and serve my own bowl, considering how indifferent and disengaged these kids are. I strongly suggest Chipotle to correct this behavior before more business is lost at this location.
Chipotle is a place of indulgent taste. Commonplace, yet, tasteful culinary splendor. A Chipotle meal is a well deserved treat after a long work day or busy week, a convenient and delicious refuge to those who need warmth to their hearts. It weighs heavy on mine that Iโm met with such a disappointing experience of dissatisfaction. I reach the surface and breathe as I hope the next meal will be better, but I am hurled back into deep water with the powerful wave that is the horrid amalgamation of this Chipotle location.
I cannot fool myself again. I will trust this Chipotle not once more. If you seek comfort and fidelity from a Chipotle meal, look further. Trek onwards. This is no harbor for enjoyment or...
