Swell Coffee — Restaurant in Largo

I’ll start with the one positive thing. I ordered an iced matcha latte and the employee prepared it the authentically by whisking the matcha with the brush and water. Unfortunately that’s the only positive. I live close by and have been meaning to come in and did today. I walked in early afternoon. There were a few customers but it wasn’t busy. There were 2 young women behind the counter and a young guy sitting at counter. Unsure if he was an employee or not, but they chatted with him while they worked. I walked in and wasn’t greeted. Walked to register and said hello to her. I ordered the latte and a pop tart pastry from their case. Pop tarts are usually served warm/toasted. She gave me it in a sleeve and it was cold. I had to ask her to heat it. She took it to a toaster oven and then prepped the latte. She didn’t speak to me but the young guy at the counter. The other employee went to pack pastry. She Called her back and they both took it out, looked at it and the oven, put it back in for a minute. Then put it in the box and gave it to me silently. I could tell immediately it was not heated. The Box wasn’t warm. Opened it in my car, slightly warmer but not heated through at all. Bottom was not completely baked/slightly raw/doughy. I was in a hurry and left. So the 2 employees knew it wasn’t heated but didn’t bother to advise it or apologize if the oven wasn’t working. The iced matcha latte was ok but nothing amazing. My total was about $12.50. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolute gem of a coffee shop! We were in town for a wedding and, coming from South Florida, we’re used to early-opening coffee spots—even on weekends. So when we found this local shop open at 7am, we were thrilled! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

What really blew us away was the adorable play area for our baby and toddler—it was such a big hit! As parents, it’s rare to find coffee shops that are truly kid-friendly, and this made all the difference. We actually got to sip and relax while the kids played happily.

I ordered the honey vanilla iced latte and WOW—it was absolute perfection. So smooth and delicious. My husband loved his drink too. The owner was on-site, super friendly, and even gave us local tips on where to visit.

Overall, the experience was fantastic. Great coffee, great service, and a kid-friendly atmosphere that made our morning. Can’t wait to return next time...

If you like your coffee shop spotless enough to perform surgery in, this is the place for you. It’s so clean I felt guilty not taking my shoes off at the door.

The staff, absolute gems—attentive, friendly, and quick to take my order with a smile. Honestly, if they ran a customer service boot camp, the world would be a better place.

Now, about the seating. Look, I’m no longer a spring chicken, and my back reminds me of that every day. I do tend to like cozy seating when visiting a coffee shop, so I couldn't cozy up for more than 20 minutes, and I had planned on staying for about an hour.

The coffee is excellent. The ambiance is minimalist-chic. Great for a quick caffeine fix, but if you’re looking for a cozy place to settle in, maybe bring your own seat cushion. I'll be back to get coffee on the go, and I highly...
