Had been here before for lunch, never for dinner. Party of 3, 5:30 reservation and were promptly seated when we arrived. Bryce, the wait assist, poured us water and then Briana, our waitress came with a bottle of water and took our drink order...a glass of Malbec and an iced tea. While waiting for the wine, Bryce came over with foccacia bread, hot, served with olive oil. When Briana returned with the wine, we quickly placed our orders from the "early bird menus"; one veal piccata, one veal francese, and a chicken piccata. All meals came with a Caesar salad, correctly portioned size with an excellent Caesar dressing, on the side. Our meals arrived timely upon finishing our salads and we all enjoyed our meals. Every one was a 10. Excellent, good portion, nicely presented. The manager came to the table with fresh grated parmesan to compliment the meals. Upon completion, Briana brought us to go boxes as none of us were able to finish the large portions. Brina got two of us coffees and took our orders for the gelato (included with our meals). Salted caramel and tiramisu gelato. A decent portion size to complement our meals. A solid 5 for food, service, atmosphere. Side note...very impressed with Bryce, wait assist, who was on top of everything at our table and tables around us. Was constantly on the move and did an excellent job. He will make an awesome waiter. Definitely visit Cucina Moderna. Went again last night Nick was our server. Outstanding service and every meal a 10! ...
Read moreUPDATE: Go to Cucina Moderna in Lake Worth off of Lake Worth Road. It is so much more pleasant, especially if you are with several people and you want to engage in conversation. It's an older but very clean restaurant. It is a quieter place and the servers are fantastic. The food is more tasty. All around, it is more pleasant at this location than at Boynton Beach, though it's not "a happening place" like the one in Boynton. Six of us friends were seated indoors at a comfortable round table. This is a very important point that I will make, so read along. The food is fresh and relatively tasty (some dishes are too salty). Our waiter was very kind and we know he put his best foot forward, but he rushed us along to the point that we couldn't have a relaxed dining experience. I have been here before with my family, but we ate outdoors, which was very pleasant and the service wasn't so rushed. Back to indoors, the ceiling is very high and as a result it is EXTREMELY NOISY. The 6 of us get together monthly so that we can catch up on the events of our daily lives and discuss whatever comes to mind. We couldn't do that here. We had to yell to be heard and most of what we had to say went unheard. I complained to the manager who said he would bring it up to the owners. By the time we left we felt dizzy. I WISH THE OWNERS WOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE ACOUSTICS. I think my 3- star rating is very generous given the chaotic atmosphere, the speedy waiter,...
Read moreWe were there on 6/19/21 at approx 5:20pm. When we arrived most of the tables ( booths included) were empty. The hostess did not greet us, seemed very unfriendly; took one look at us (we are Hispanic) asked if we had reservations and when we said no, she said they only had seating OUTSIDE. The place was almost empty! We had to ask if we could sit at the bar (she didn't even offer us that!). We sat at the bar and were overwhelmed by flies. We sat in our car for almost 30 minutes and only 5 customers arrived. We then called them from our cell phone and asked if reservations were necessary and the female who answered said NO. The first time we visited this restaurant the waiter was not friendly; not even pleasant; he seemed unwilling to serve us. The other staff members are very young and there were a lot of them; just hung around the bar laughing and talking to one another. Two men who seemed to be owners or managers walked past our table several times without a smile or an inquiry regarding our meal. We hoped that today would be better but on the contrary we felt rejected and discriminated against. I will tell all my friends and neighbors about our experience and warn them not to expect to be treated with dignity. We ended up going to Nino in Delray; and they were friendly, professional, and made us feel welcomed. And their...
