Truth Over HypeTruth Over Hype
Dano Cafeteria definitely looks like the kind of place you’ll want to stay a while. The outdoor dining setup is charming—fans keep the space cool and breezy, and the vibe is relaxed yet inviting. Service was smooth and friendly; you order at the counter, and the food is brought out to your table—simple and efficient. Now, onto the food. We started with the empanadas—beef and three-cheese. The cheese one was rich and melty, but the beef? Unfortunately, it fell flat. Lacked flavor and didn’t taste especially fresh, which was disappointing. I had the avocado toast with a side of eggs, which was decent—nothing wildly exciting but solid. My husband ordered the steak and eggs, and I have to admit, I was hyped. The online reviews made it sound like a must-try, so I imagined a thick, juicy ribeye or T-bone. Instead, we got a thin skirt steak—definitely not what we expected. It wasn’t terrible, but a heads-up on the cut would’ve gone a long way in managing expectations. The drinks, though? That’s where they shined. The iced caramel macchiato was bold, smooth, and hit all the right notes. And the fresh-squeezed orange juice? Pure sunshine. Refreshing, crisp, and probably the best thing we tasted that morning. Would I go back? Yes—but next time I’ll ask what they recommend. There’s potential here, and with the right dish, I think it could be a real gem.

Came for lunch today, small mom and pop cafeteria. It’s a super casual outdoor eating spot. You walk up to a counter window and order your food. Really big portion size chicken Milanese sandwich and I traded my fries for a salad. The food was pricier than expected. The menu online said the sandwich was $10 but the new price is $15.99. I highly recommend trying their spicy green sauce when you stop by. Excellent customer service. The location is tucked away in the back with construction in the area so it can be hard to miss. Worth the stop if you’re looking for a quick breakfast/ lunch. The empanada was good, warm on the outside not on the inside and a bit stale.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dano’s Coffee is anamazing spot with excellent coffee and some of the best empanadas around. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their desserts are also a must-try—perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The owner and staff are genuinely warm and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or sitting down for a while. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. Definitely a place worth visiting if you appreciate good coffee and great food at a fair price.

I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the incredibly kind hospitality you showed us when we arrived after closing. Even though the kitchen was technically closed, you welcomed us with open arms and generously offered food, coffee, dessert—completely on the house. That kind of gesture speaks volumes about your character and the warm atmosphere you’ve created at Dano’s.

As a passionate Boca Juniors fan, I was delighted to discover we share a love of fútbol—though admittedly on opposite sides of the eternal River Plate–Boca rivalry! Instead of fan lines, you offered friendship, good conversation, and made me feel right at home. You didn’t just serve us a meal—you shared connection, laughter, and genuine generosity.

Your Instagram page reflects that same family-owned feel, from “Pasta Thursday” specials to classic comfort dishes served with pride . But the real highlight? Your generosity and hospitality—those heartfelt acts leave a lasting impression far beyond any menu.

Thank you for making us feel welcomed and appreciated. You’ve got a lifelong fan in me—both of you and your café—and I look forward to returning (hopefully during operating hours...
