What a terrible experience. My mother in a wheelchair with my 13 year old son pushing her when i met them to say goodbye at the airport were met by the bartender. Bald man probably mid 50's. I'm not here to call anyone out but his name was Todd. We sat at a table because my mother couldn't sit at the bar in a wheelchair nor could my son obviously. With the extreme heat my mother needed ice water so i told the nice waitress i would go to the bar and get drinks when he informed me i couldn't because i wasn't sitting at the bar. I respectfully walked back to the table and sat back down with my family. 5 minutes go by and I again walked back to the bar and just asked for just the ice water and said my mother didn't feel good and that's all i needed. He again denied me JUST THE ICE WATER because i wasn't sitting at the bar but he would get it. After chitchat with his employees he set them on the counter for the servers and no one brought them so we respectfully left with the drinks still sitting, open with no concern on the bar. So sir thank you for the time missed with my son and mother plus the extra cost for parking longer. Flight was delayed and you're the rudest person I've ever encountered in a national airport. Denying my mother a simple ice water to a paying customer!! I'm sure you put them on ice for the next person. 1 16oz. Budweiser aluminum bottle, 1 glass of Pinot Grigio (that didn't matter) and one glass of ice water. Cameras should've picked it up around 5:30 p.m with other customers walking out before us telling us good luck. Shame on you for representing our SRQ/Bradenton...
Read moreMy wife was there on 10/24/19 around 12:30pm. When she entered the restaurant she asked an employee if she should sit anywhere and the answer was yes. She specifically sought out a quiet place to eat and conduct a conference call. The employee who stated she could sit anywhere, proceeded to the restroom and upon her exit walked past my wife and ignored her. An employee with blonde hair had to ask and employee to assist a table of four (4), this employee also noticed my wife had not been welcomed by a waiter or waitress. My wife notice “a bunch” of employee standing in the corner of the restaurant all taking, they also noticed her. The employee asked someone to welcome/wait on my wife, however this was 15 minutes after she entered the restaurant and with the understanding the staff had no desire or urgency to ensure her customer experience was good, or great, my wife packed up her laptop, and her belongings. The blonde employee shouted across the restaurant that she has someone coming, the individual approaches and my wife said, no thank you, you can continue to mange your break I’ll find somewhere else to eat. My wife counted 6-10 people at the bar, in which the bartender was managing , the table of four (4) and herself. Staff was present and unoccupied with no sense of urgency or desire to ensure each individual had a great experience. People who travel for a living and or for pleasure count on exceptional...
Read moreThe worst ever airport restaurant. Waited 30 minutes for waiter to acknowledge us.(only two other tables had people). Ordered a drink and after 40 minutes still didn’t have and was told bartender was out on smoke break. Ordered food and half ingredients were missing. And when I ask where my drink is or where my food choices are they just stare at me and say “oh some people don’t want those ingredients or the bartender is smoking. The whole thing beyond a joke. Only possible explanation is the workers are purposefully trying to get fired so they can collect unemployment?? Idk but his was the most ridiculous airport experience I e ever had and I have traveled a whole lot!!! Oh yes, and of course I paid two times more for everything than anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and do not walk into Dewars at the Sarasota Bradenton airport. Sad sad sad....
