Location|Hyatt Place is strategically located adjacent to Interstate 75, making it highly accessible for travelers heading north or south along the corridor. Directly across the highway lies a large shopping mall, with several dining options available in the vicinity. Additionally, a premium outlet mall is approximately a 15-minute drive to the north. The hotel is situated about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Tampa International Airport. The nearest notable beach, Siesta Key, is approximately a 40-minute drive. Overall, the location is convenient for an overnight stop during a longer journey.||Room|Guest rooms are spacious and include a large, comfortable bed and a separate sofa seating area. While the room is not the most modern iteration of the Hyatt Place brand, it offers a quiet environment with blackout blinds conducive to restful sleep. Amenities include a functional work desk, a mini fridge, and a coffee maker. A notable shortcoming is the limited availability of USB charging ports, with only one located on the alarm clock. The bathroom features a larger shower with decent quality bath products. Cleanliness and comfort are maintained throughout.||Facilities| • Wi-Fi: No password required; high-speed internet functioned reliably, including the successful overnight download of approximately 2GB for work purposes.| • Breakfast: Included in the rate and offered in the bar area. The selection was superior to that found in many U.S. 3–4 star hotels, featuring both cooked and continental options.| • Fitness & Recreation: A small, modern gym is available with primarily cardio equipment and some dumbbells. The hotel also features an outdoor pool and a separate jacuzzi.| • Business Amenities: Business services include access to computers, a printer, and an ATM.| • Parking: Free on-site parking is provided, with ample space available.||Staff & Service||Staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional. Despite a late arrival, check-in was smooth and efficient. The team maintained the high service standards typically associated with the Hyatt Place brand.||Overall Assessment|Hyatt Place served as a convenient and comfortable stopover after a long-haul flight into Tampa, en route to Marco Island. Its location near major retail centers and the interstate makes it well-suited for travelers breaking a longer journey. The hotel upholds the Hyatt Place brand’s reputation for quality,...
Read moreThe Hyatt Place Hotel at Sarasota Bradenton Airport will blow you away. While dodging Hurricane Dorian's path,we found our selves staying safe and completely comfy in the shadow of the airport. This hotel has everything you could possibly want. They did not cut corners anywhere! The bed is extremely comfortable and soft. I've finally gotten great sleep. The room features a huge flat screen tv with a complete menu of channels. I mean complete. The rooms are large and spacious. There is a pool and hot tub outside set in a beautiful oasis. The breakfast is spectacular. They have a choice of every possible thing you could want including fresh squeezed juices, cage free eggs and gluten free cereals. I really appreciated that it was a real solid breakfast and not just sugar in its various forms. I want to mention the staff for a moment, here, Sales Director Tamara, perfect assistance with our group needs for the 501c3 organization I work for. All the answers, clear and concise. Front desk staff was sharp with local answers and guidance, clean cut, professional and most of all spot on helpful. The breakfast was set up to please and surpass expectations. The fresh fruit offerings were impressive. Housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful, obviously the person responsible takes great care in this department. Everyone smiles at this hotel, and I left smiling. ...
Read moreClean, quiet room, everything worked, comfy bed but be careful opening and closing the bathroom door as it is a heavy door and barely allows you space to get in and out. No fan in the bathroom which I find odd and silly to say the least also difficult to plug in electrical items near the bed if you don't mind having to get on the floor to place your plug in the wall. No phone next to the bed so if you want to call the desk you have to get your lazy vacation mode self up and walk about 4 feet to the living room area to use their phone. Breakfast was varied and delicious but bring earplugs because there is no limit to the screaming loud chatter that fills your ears even if you have difficulty hearing. Friendly staff and pleasant front desk area. If you don't mind walking about a mile to the elevators then parking your car in the back is no big deal but it is dark, dreary and creepy in the back lot where the only other entrances are to the hotel other than the front door which is very nice. Get there early in the day about check in time to avoid having to park in the back or be sure to get a first floor room so that you don't have to walk from the back to the lobby to catch the elevator. LOL But overall it was a very...
