Drake's Bistro — Restaurant in Florida

Great lunch spot and lots of excellent sandwich options to cover anyone’s preferences! Our party of four stopped in yesterday and our waitress was friendly and efficient! I will say that towards the end of our meal she disappeared and left us hanging for a bit. So long that another person brought us our checks and then eventually came back to run our cards. It didn’t ruin our meal by any means, but it was unnecessary.

We had 2 gobble sandwiches and they were pretty tasty! Not the best we have had, but most acceptable and better than average! They needed a little more of the cranberry. We also had the conquistador, it was very flavorful but needed some acid and maybe a little mayo - the bread was possibly over toasted and it made it a dry sandwich to bite through. And we had the Blue Dream, pretty tasty as is! Our fries were all hot and fresh! We did try a cheese dip sauce for the fries and it was unusual, hard pass on that option - no flavor, too thick, and a little off putting.

Overall, this is a solid lunch spot! We all would like to try it again and see what other sandwiches they could put together for us! It was quaint inside, a little dated, reminded us of an Italian movie where a mobster sat in the back running his bookies… I liked it! But it, could use a refresher!

We're not from the area, but we've been coming to St. Augustine for years now. I've been promising my lady that we would go here for the Monte Cristo and we're so thankful we did!!

The first thing we noticed, there was a lot of Christmas decor which we always appreciate! We were greeted by Maria, very pleasant lady! I told her about me wanting to get a Monte Cristo for my lady (she understood if we couldn't make it there this trip), and Maria obliged!

The food was delicious, we both had lunch sandwiches early and we loved every bite! The food was fresh as can be! If I didn't know any better, I would say they had a Deli in there as well with how fresh the food was! Excellent quality!!

We also had a piece of the apple cake and that was finished by my lady and I, mostly me, in record time! The restaurant itself, very clean and immaculate! The owner and staff do a wonderful job at Drake's Bistro!

Though we don't come here that often to St. Augustine, we have a new favorite place to go! Drake's Deli and Bistro! Thank you to the owner, Maria and the staff for an excellent time! We had a blast and can't wait...

One of the best Philly Cheesesteaks in Saint Augustine, Fl., Finally someone got it right in the south. A TRUE PHILLY CHEESE STEAK! All of their food is amazing and great customer service. Highly recommend if you are from Pa or up North looking for a taste of home we all miss living in the South. Update in 2020/2021 we have learned the cheesesteaks made out of their original location are made so much better, this last year when they only had the Bistro open due to Covid our cheesesteaks were nowhere near made as well as they make them out of tiny shop we got them on 4 different occasions made out of the Bistro and we were not impressed at all, maybe a different chef but we tried 4 times and each time they were nowhere close to the chef who makes them out of the little store we stopped ordering when they were going to be made at the Bistro now we will only get them from Drake's Deli was too disappointing and we tried 4 separate times just to see if it was an off day, it wasn't. Highly recommend if you get them from Drake's Deli can't say the same for the other location unfortunately and we have been coming in for years it was our...
