EJ's Meridian Cafe — Restaurant in Florida

PROS: Our waitress was super cool. I'm pretty sure that they were understaffed and she really did her best and made us laugh.

When the food eventually came out, it was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! Seriously, I have never had a griddled cinnamon bun before and it was excellent!!! The Eggs Benedict was also delicious and they accommodated us by giving scrambled instead of poached eggs. The food, bottom line, delicious.

The inside and outside are both beautifully decorated and modern. The staff was really nice too!

CONS: We waited over an hour and a half to get our food. I was really excited to try out a new breakfast place in Naples and opted to get brunch with friends. We didn't think it would take so long.

I understand that it's a Sunday and peak time for the restaurant. But, it was honestly plain ridiculous. We waited half an hour to get seated. We were not greeted at our table or even got water for 20 minutes.

I just heard that Eric Becker of Ej’s Bayfront Cafe expanded into North Naples with Ej’s Meridian Cafe. Our family has been going to Ej’s Bayfront for over 10 years, so we were super excited to hear he opened up another cafe closer to our home. I tried it today and it did not disappoint! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had the Greek omelette, they don’t skimp on the olives or feta like so many other places. I ordered the side of potatoes. Unfortunately it tasted like it was cooked with bacon fat which to 97% of the people reading this post, including my family, would probably like that lol. As a vegetarian , not so much. The waiter switched them out for a bowl of fresh fruit. No problem! Every single piece of fruit was ripe to perfection! I can’t wait to return with my family. The restaurant is very clean and inviting with bright green outdoor umbrellas. All the patrons were so happy with their food and service. Google reviews led us to Ej’s Meridian…and it was fabulous!! Clean, artistic, fun decor and vibe. Both indoor and outdoor seating available, ample parking in the shopping center. We were taken care of by our server, Kaylin who was bright and welcoming, attentive and helpful throughout the meal.

I enjoyed the veggie/garden skillet which was very tasty and included mushrooms, broccoli, onions, peppers, tomatoes and of course potatoes, with hard fried eggs! It was the perfect portion size to satisfy and the flavor was superb. We also got the salad with chicken…huge portion, corn, black beans, cucumber, tomatoes, onions and we added olives and pepporcini peppers…delicious! Greatly appreciate the flexibility. Last but definitely not least we had the cinnamon roll!!! Watch out Cinnabon… their roll is big, soft and flavorful, served piping hot with an incredible cinnamon icing!! So darn good. Very glad we tried this place and had such great service with Kaylin. Looking forward to coming back...
