Unfortunately I had a terrible experience. The waitress never brought the sauces to go with the empanadas or plates to eat them in which is something that is understandable however, Then when we ordered the churrasco, the menu showed that it was $24. My daughter ordered it and the waitress told me that the price is not what was shown in the menu. That the price is now $30. I hesitated because that is false advertising however i didn’t say anything and I asked my daughter, do you want it? She said yes so we ordered it. It came back raw, and I mean sushi raw. I tried calling the waitresses over but with the loud music they couldn’t hear me. So my daughter decided to just eat my fish. When the waitress finally came to check up on us which was after we were done eating, I told her about the steak that we even tried looking for areas where it was raw but there were none. She told me why I didn’t tell her and I told her that I tried but no one heard me. She said I will cook it more and serve it to her. I told her that she was no longer hungry. Then she said I will cook it so you can take it home. I told her I didn’t want the steak anymore. She said “Oh, you don’t want to pay for it?” I told her it’s not that I don’t want to pay for it it’s that the purpose of ordering the steak was to enjoy the steak in the restaurant with my daughter. She told me that her waitress told her that didn’t want to pay for it because of the price. I was apalled by this. I told her I can very well afford it. There was some back and forth and she was getting loud with me in front of my 10 year old daughter waiving her hands in front of my face and raising her voice. I had to ask her to give me the check please. I could tell this situation could escalate if I become responsive towards her because she was getting disrespectful. I didn’t want a scene in front of my daughter I wanted a nice meal. I have never been treated this way EVER. The lady was extremely passive aggressive with me and kept putting the blame on me for the bad service. That is a first and last time I go to...
Read moreEl Mayoral is a Columbian home style restaurant in the West Kendall area of Miami. The menu features a wide variety of typical Columbian dishes. Meals are fresh and flavorful and the wait staff is pleasant. You start your meal with a complimentary cup of chicken broth, which was delicious. One of the mist popular dishes is the Bandeja Paisa, which features rice, beans, fried pork skin, grilled or ground beef, sweet plantains, eggs, arepa, and pork sausage. The steak was tender, juicy and flavorful, the fried port skin (chicharron), was crispy and delicious, the red beans were sweet and gently earthy. We have had this dish in several Columbian restaurants in the area however, this one is not to be missed. Probably among the best. The passion fruit mousse was light, sweet, smooth and just the right dessert after a filling meal. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor dining and there is...
Entonces me puse aun mas contento !
