Update on my poor review Fairway pizza and sports bar. A couple weeks after I wrote the review Steve the owner called me. I explained to him what happened that evening. Steve said when you come back in just ask for him. He said I will make it right with you. We went back Wednesday June 27th. We asked for Steve and were told he wasn't there. They asked the situation by the waitress and then again by the manager. It was pretty uncomfortable to repeat the circumstances twice in front of the other customers at the surrounding tables. Then the manager called Steve , then returned to the table to say he would only comp my meal. I do want to say the waitress and manager were polite, but it was pretty embarrassing when he came back to the table to tell us Steve would comp only one meal not four.I was not asking for four which they evidently assumed. I only thought it would be fair to comp my wife and myself since they ruined the evening for us that night. I feel that comping only one meal fell short. Both of us had the evening ruined. My wife waited over an hour for her food. My food came incorrectly and I sat and watched her eat her meal for another hour while they re- made my order. We took it home and were very disappointed when I cut into the calzone and it had hardly anything but sauce in it. To me the effort last Wednesday was heap big smoke and no fire . New review would be a zero.
My wife and I were going out for my birthday. Fairway totally ruined the evening. We ordered our food. I ordered a calzone with no cheese or white sauce. The order took a very long time. When our food arrived my calzone had both cheese and white sauce on it. I told the waiter, he said they would make me another one. My wife had finished her meal for some time. A different waiter came out and said here's your calzone. Rather than have my wife watch me eat,we took it home. Fairway did not make it right and charged us the full amount. It doesn't end there, when I opened it up at home it looked like a deflated balloon. The calzone had many areas it that had no ingredients or products in it and very little sauce. To add insult to injury, we paid $4 for extra ingredients. Thanks Fairway for making our night out and...
Read moreFirst time order never have I ever dined here, so I was not familiar with this restaurants procedures on take out. When ordering the host was sure to tell me that the Spin Dip did not have enough pitas (multiple dinners) and there would be an additional extra charge of .99 cents. I agreed. When delivery arrived the drivers was dripping in sweat, wiped his forehead with his hands and proceeded to pick our food back up, I grabbed the food and pulled it away before this could be done. Tipped 5 additional dollars and he left. We took out the food and realized there were no, forks, plates for the salad, pizza and spin dip. We called to see if they would have this delivered as they are just across the street. We were met with rudest response and detest in that question, told that no we can delivery any because we only have one driver and he is out delivering right now to others, I ran after the diver when realizing we had nothing to eat or disperse the food with or on and saw him pulling into the restaurant across the street. Felt that statement was false base on eyewitness. The host proceeded to state that the person who ordered didn't ask for any silverware or plates. As a new dinner and first experience with this restaurant its appalling to be spoken to with such disregard as if I knew when ordering a togo meal coming to an office park for multiple people did not come with the basics nor was it mentioned they do not send unless requested. Our meal was not a finger meal and required silverware, plates etc... Defiantly not a good first impression and will...
Read more26 year Military Veteran with a medical exemption asked to leave for not wearing a mask while simply trying to make my way to the restroom. This after being openly and hospitably welcomed into the outdoor bar area and served politely and professionally. Totally unexceptable behavior by the staff on the part of one young man and a woman who couldn't seem to stop tapping her finger against the sign on the door long enough to hear what I was saying. I completely understand the law as it applies in this situation and personally felt that if I prolonged my stay, eventually one of them would inevitably ask me what my exemption or medical condition was. This would clearly put them and the establishment into a HIPA Violation situation which could open them up to a legal lawsuit on my behalf. You can imagine how that would turn out for them and the future of the business. Maybe next time, take a moment to listen to your patrons. Additionally, after returning to the outside bar area to pay my check before departing I personally witnessed 3 patrons enter and 2 exit the building without being harassed by that same staff. If you are a military Veteran, Retiree or family member of one I encourage you to choose alternate establishments for your entertainment until such time as they acknowledge this injustice and correct the behavior of their staff in a response to...
