I am from NY and spent 25 year as a pizza person, should be embarrassed to call your place NY pizza. Should call it Flat bread pizza.
Lasagna pizza? I created this in 1982, the positive thing was cheese and sauce, but execution was very poor. Need to learn to hand toss a pizza correctly. There should be an edge.
1 sausage was processed- its not hard to cook real sausage and slice it. Meat balls the only flavor was oregano, the easiest thing to cook and failed on flavor.
This place needs much improvement to meet the NY pizza name.
If owner makes improvements, might try again by using more fresh ingredients nothing processed and learn to make the crust better.
not anyone can make a good NY pizza.
It all starts with Fresh ingredients and everything home made. Execution would be next.
Another note. NY Style Lasagna Pizza is usually made with real fresh Italian meatballs not just beef ,and topped off with fresh chopped tomato's or marinara. You have to bring all the flavors together as one package. The Pizza crust should be a little thicker and have an edge so you can hold it. The crust and sauce needs to have good flavor as in all NY Style Italian Pizza does.
Good Pizza Crust Grande Ricotta Grande mozzarella Italian Meatballs Sauce tomato's pieces - or Marinara
Should look like a piece of art when done.
Good luck with process...
Read moreUpdate on my original review as we took the owner up on his offer of a free pizza. The pizza was great, loads of toppings, tons of cheese and even came with a pot of parmesan and some crushed red pepper. As it was a 20" it was also huge. The owner was extremely apologetic about what had happened on our first visit and confirmed that the BOGO 20" pizza tuesdays was still an offer so we will definitely be back next year. Total recommend this place.
We didnt actually eat so cannot comment on the food quality. We went for the tuesday special buy one 20" get one free as advertised. We had questions about tomato sauce on the alfredo which initially could not be answered as the lad spoke virtually no english. After that we said we wanted the all white and initially he said they didnt do one! When we showed him the menu he then had to go and check somebody knew how to make it!! After all this we said we wanted the meatlover and an all white on the tuesday deal and he said they didnt do that anymore. We showed him the leaflet and he said it was now buy a pizza get a salad. If you stop doing a deal you should stop advertising it. We obviously did not order and will...
Read moreI can't say enough about how great this place is. I'm currently eating the pizza and it's amazing. The owner was super friendly on the phone and in person. I think I lucked out with how close it is i'm currently on quite the budget but the Tuesday buy one get 1/2 special makes this place a no-brainer for me.
I used to go here all the time my net was still owned by Euro King, and when I first tried that I was worried it would not be as good as I remember. Turns out everything from the food to the still in process remodeling is better. The dough was even better and you can tell this place has a lot of love put into it unlike it being a forgotten side business b4.
I recommend the Philly cheesesteak or meat lovers or lasagna pizza.
I have been 3-4 of times now, & last time I had my first small issue. Last time I was charged a few bucks merchant fee, which I had never been charged before, so not sure what is going on with that changing.
Overall as long as the price & quality remains competitive like this, this will be the only pizza...
