Sunshine Liquors — Local services in Palm Harbor

Sunshine Liquors provided not just bad service, but TERRIBLE service while I was sick at home. This time I ordered them thru Uber Eats. And that’s when I saw their true colors of how…GREEDY they really are! So if u buy expensive items from them, than they will be cool. Because four times I already spent $ in their store this month and I spent a lot of $ there, and they were nice of course. But tonite because I only was going to spend $13 for a small bottle of Brandy online, wanted to make chocolate mousse for my sweetheart, but they kept cancelling my order three different times!!! So when I called the Sunshine Liquors’ store and said “Hey.. why do you keep cancelling my order??! “ Because It took me like five minutes to place each order that they kept cancelling because it was small, didn’t offer any alternatives except the large expensive bottles?!.The owner was so rude on the phone to me probably because he knew he didn’t want to drive over a small bottle of Brandy, he probably thought it just wasn’t worth it to him..he didn’t know I was a good customer…but that’s not how u treat any of your customers! He was very unprofessional and proved that by disrespecting me when I asked a question just hanging up. And I confirmed with him it was on purpose! Bottomline, he wouldn’t even accept the other lower priced orders and only offered expensive alternatives! So it’s not the Uber drivers’ fault! Because he was rude on the phone and he knows it! So watch out he’s nice in person and if u spend a lot! Unfortunately that greedy attitude over the phone told me who he really is and will only ruin their business in the long run with other customers if he doesn’t wise up ! And I usually only give good reviews of businesses… just wanted to warn...

I am out of town and popped into so many liquor stores in the Tampa bay area and was pretty much giving up; Ridiculous prices everywhere that I could get in Canada or duty free and the selection was crap.

I was headed into the Publix on my way down from Tarpon Springs when I saw Sunshine Liquors and decided to give it a go. I was blown away by the selection and the awesome prices. I’m a huge tequila guy and the selection here was astounding Saw so many brands that I had never heard of. I had come in looking for a patron Anejo but left with a stunning bottle of extra aged Anejo by Cava de Oro. Wouldn’t have known about if Dave wasn’t working behind the counter. Super friendly fellow that knew almost everything about every product I was asking him about. Super impressed with his knowledge and how happy he was to share it with me. He also led me to some of the store picked, barrel select bourbons and my head was spinning hahaha. The store has so many connections with high end brands allowing them to create special store-specific batches based on the preference of the owner. Love exclusives like that. But yeah, haven’t experienced customer service like that in years.

Highly recommend this store for anyone coming in to the Tampa area. I’m back again in the spring and can’t wait to stock...

Now a days it hard to find a store other than chick fila with great service and a friendly atmosphere. Sunshine palm harbor not only has a GREAT selection of rare and harder to find bottles, but the lowest prices around. They beat the other stores by an average of $10 on any bottle. I moved here 2 years ago and was walking the aisles in awe looking at the selection when the owner George approached me. Coming from VA we dont have half of the selection he has, we began talking about bourbons and life and he has quickly become one of my best friends in the area. He creates a family of like minded individuals and gets us together to do very limited release store picks. He also gives back to the community through raffles, charities and giveaways. As a business and store owner it truly doesn't get any better, I'm very happy to be a customer and a friend, I highly recommend you stopping by and look forward to...
