By nature, our bodies wake up with low blood sugar levels after a well or not so well slept the night. Our mood could then reach uncomfortable levels of irritability, confusion, and fatigue. Under that scenario, imagine the dreadful fate of meeting with a bad cold coffee or a waiter that has to answer WhatsApp messages before reaching your ravenous table. The good thing about chain restaurants is that they usually stick to well-known and consistent branding. Something that can provide reliability at the time of "breaking the fast". First Watch is that. It is reliable. At least it has been in every part of the state I experienced it.
Their juices are magical to attend to that low blood sugar in question. My favorite is the Morning Meditation fresh juice. Orange, lemon, turmeric, ginger, and beet! It will definitely bring you back to life if Gin was the last thing you kissed goodnight. They may have other seasonals as well. I would try more.
Pancakes are, of course, their signature. Or at least that is how I base my opinion on a breakfast place. Pancakes say it all. With much family discussion, I can say there is a six over ten consensus. Waffles are also good. I wouldn't bet too much on their French Toasts. If you are up to something more than brunch, the Avocado toast is their best. Side dishes are small but tasty and healthy. The Potatoes are crunchy yet not too oily (little burned I should say, but I like that). Bacon is crispy yet not burned.
They have a whole area in their menu of healthy choices, which I think is fantastic. I usually get the slow-cooked oatmeal when I want to be boring and well-behaved and still enjoy savory.
Coffee is always there hot on a carafe that they bring you to the table, and it is good coffee, which at the end of the day, or better say at the beginning,...
Read moreI have been a customer for the last 13 years to this same first watch, to the point where if our favorite server Marisol is there, she knows exactly what we want to drink, what we want to eat and the substitutions that go with it! She is wonderful and one of the best servers I’ve ever had at any restaurant. Unfortunately, I walked in there today without a mask on. The world stopped! Immediately approached and asked if we had a mask to which I responded with we didn’t. The other have of our party was already seated and we proceeded towards their table but was belittled by a young, misguided and uninformed employee who called my father and I (verbatim)- “rude and disrespectful”. I immediately turned right back around and left after that comment. It should also be noted that I was looking at their box of masks the last time I was there and they say “NOT FOR MEDICAL USE”. Not to mention out Governor’s newest executive order states businesses and persons will not be fined for violation local mask mandates, hence the reason why the county dropped fines against Seed to Table and will no longer enforce it.
P.S. you should look at some of the back of t her house staff in kitchen that were incorrectly wearing their mask without those nose covered before you come sideways...
Read moreWe are frequent customers of this location (every Sunday around noon) unfortunately after today’s experience I will not be coming back. Our server who never even greeted herself and rushed us without any eye contact seemed like she had better things to do than her job (an older woman light hair color who maybe should retire or find a job that does not include customer service since her attitude is very off putting and lacking) when handing us our plates she was very rushed leading me to burn my hand by trying to slam the plate onto the table. I let it slide everyone has bad days. However it only got worse when she never once checked on us kept ignoring when we tried to ask for something she pretended she couldn’t hear me I never got my water that I ordered and she charged us for extra items that we never received. I had ordered one side of eggs she charged us for 2 eggs. Whatever no biggie could have been an honest mistake gave her benefit of doubt yet again however with her entire demeanor the entire time we were there and the lack of service that is required when being a server turned us off from wanting to return. Hopefully miss miserable finds a job that suits her better and doesn’t take it out on regulars who like to enjoy their...
