I love Greek food and being on a strict diet due to health issues this was a great healthy place to eat..Food was hot and tasted great .. the French fries I could and usually would had not orderd and I'm honesty I could had went without... I wish I had had the rice instead..but that's no fault of the restaurant.. if taking fries home as it was a take out order..I should had known the fries would get cold and taste hard .... if I had eat inside the Cafe.. I'm certain they would had been great..I ordered the hummus pita wrap..but was given the Greek wrap.. it tasted good but only issue was it became soggy before getting it home..and I do know that orders can be mixed up at times, so the fault is on me for not checking it 1st before driving away... Now the Tzkiki with pita points was the best I've ate anywhere yet . I will definitely get again... the Italian sandwich looked great and I tried it and it did have a delicious flavor and the auju juice was awesome.. prices were comparable to other places and affordable.. the onion rings were on my friends order and looked great and crispy..I'd definitely recommend going here and checking them out..the customer service wasn't exactly the best..as the older woman was a bit short and curt with us. But as I wasn't eating inside that can be overlooked " and perhaps she was having a bad day...in general I would love to come back again and I think the quality and flavors were great.

Yummy vegetarian options! From the moment we walked in the door, we were welcomed, invited to sit, and even offered an adjustment to the A/C in the back where we were seated! Staff is very friendly and kind! The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming. The white floors and walls show off a high level of cleanliness with the mirrored wall expanding the feel of what could seem like a small galley of a restaurant. The partner and I tried the Greek Trio (Dolmadakia, Hummus, Tzatziki served with warm pita), Pierogies, and a Falafel Pita sandwich with small Greek salad. The warm pita served with the Greek Trio was soft and pillowy and so tasty! The perfect accompaniment for hummus and tzatziki! Both of which were phenomenal! I'm generally not a fan of hummus. One of my personal frustrations with dining out as a vegetarian is that often the only options on a menu include hummus based wraps. This hummus though??? I could eat with the warm pita as a meal itself! Same with the tzatziki, which was my favorite flavor from the Greek Trio appetizer. The dolmadakia was so flavorful and dense, it was well wrapped. No filling falling out or other messiness with this rice/spice combo wrapped in grape leaves! The falafel in the pita was possibly the best falafel ever! Plus, their brewed ice tea was fresh and crisp. Always a plus for those of us non-soda drinkers. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

Greek Island Cafe offers an exceptional dining experience that captures the essence of authentic Greek cuisine. Nestled in a cozy, inviting setting, the cafe welcomes guests with warm hospitality and a menu brimming with traditional delights. The freshness of ingredients shines through in every dishes. The moussaka is a standout, with layers of savory goodness, and the spanakopita is a flaky, flavorful delight. Desserts like baklava and provide the perfect sweet ending to a meal. The ambiance is relaxed and friendly, making it a perfect spot for both casual lunches and intimate dinners. Greek Island Cafe is a must-visit for anyone seeking a genuine taste of Greece right in their neighborhood.

Did this restaurant change hands since all of the previous glowing reviews were posted? What a disappointment. I went in for lunch, sat at the bar and ordered a classic Greek dish that’s difficult to mess up...and what could be simpler than a Greek salad? What I received was so inexplicably awful! I was served a bowl of chopped lettuce with chopped, mealy tomatoes, a few flecks of flavorless feta, and some sliced red onion. No olives, no stuffed grape leaves, no oregano or lemon to give it some character and no proper Greek salad dressing - just some pucker your lips acidic red vinegar splashed on top (as such, NOT a Greek salad to my culinary mind). Friendly customer service was lacking as well. When I inquired as to why there weren’t any grape leaves on the salad, the woman behind the counter informed me that they only come with the LARGE salad, not the small salad. Now, if you’re going to state that the Greek salad comes with these items and then list 2 sizes to choose from, each size should include the ingredients-right? Apparently not at this establishment. She didn’t even try to remedy the false advertising by offering to provide the proper fixings. Save your money and go elsewhere if you want authentic Greek food. I will definitely not be giving this spot my business...
