This place reminds you of a Waffle House, minus the cooks yelling at each other lol. They have all varieties of breakfast and lunch items to choose from such as French toast, waffles, and pancakes. I must admit, I wasn't impressed, maybe I went on a bad day for them. We arrived close to noon (1143 am to be exact) and there was a wait even though they had 2 tables empty, they just needed to clean off the tables. Soon as you get there, there's a sign on the door that says that they are short staff and hiring, but the waitresses that were there I could see were just lounging around & talking to each other. We signed their "sign in sheet" that was at the register and was asked to wait outside instead of inside along with another customer that came up behind us. I won't lie to you, I didn't feel welcomed in this establishment and probably should have left, but I've heard so much about Huddle House I wanted to try them out. One good thing about this visit, was the pleasant conversation with the other customer that had to wait outside with us. He questioned the "sign in" sheet saying he always comes there to eat every week and never had to sign something before. We waited 10 minutes before getting a table and then had to wait at least 30 minutes after ordering to get our food. More customers that came in after us, got their food way before us and when we did get it, it was luke warm and dry. It had been sitting on the counter and the waitress didn't bring it to us. When I say this place is like Waffle house, the grille in literally in plain site behind the bar, you can see the cook and the orders being made. The pancakes were fluffy looking, but dry, the scrambled eggs were wet in texture, the Waffle was good though just not hot, but warm like it was made and sitting on the counter. The food & atmosphere here is ok, but not great. If I visit another one, it won't be in Yulee. There's not alot of parking either. I feel Waffle...
Read moreIâll start by saying that I am very disappointed because as someone who frequents this restaurant, whether dine in or DoorDash, the food was unacceptable. At the time of ordering our food, there was only my table and one other table so they were not busy and when we received our food it was cold, so we notified the server that our food was cold and they took the plates back to correct the situation. It wasnât until after we had received our food that my friend noticed that they had just stuck it back on the grill. Having worked in the food industry for over 10 years, especially when dealing with breakfast foods, if there is an issue with food, you are to remake it not put it back on the grill and then serve it back to the customer because that is cross-contamination and also when dealing with eggs and breakfast food, you order your eggs according to how you want them cooked whether thatâs over medium, scrambled soft, scrambled well, etc. When I got my food back, my eggs were scorched and my friendâs daughterâs hashbrowns were so greasy and they brought it with a piece of cheese on top that was not even melted. It was to the point where her daughter couldnât even enjoy her food. At this point we were already just over it and upset. Also, I asked for a specific type of jelly for my toast and got the wrong kind then had to wait another 3-5 minutes just to get the jelly that I wanted for my toast because I wanted to at least be able to enjoy some part of my food. I donât like to complain, but if Iâm paying for my food, I expect it to be cooked the way I ask for it to be cooked. If you wouldnât want to eat cold food yourself, then why would you serve someone else something even after they told you that the food was cold so Iâm very...
Read moreWent for dinner last night around 7:45 pm place was completely empty⌠no cars in parking lot we thought it was closed. My husband went in to check and a worker came out and said they were open. We came in with my son and my in laws. Waitress had her back turned towards us stating there was no grits or coffee because they were closing soon. Once she turned around I asked what time they closed as the sign on the door said 10pm. She said until 9:30 and that they do only Togo orders until 9:45pm. She was very rude and definitely meant for her comment to persuade us to leave. However, we sat down to eat she was very rude getting our order didnât ask what we wanted just stared at us once it was our turn to order. Other people soon walked in and she was the same way to two other singular people however, they brought up that she didnât close to 10pm and decided to stay and eat as well. A family with 2 small children came in to eat and again she was rude to them turning her back to speak or not acknowledging them. The atmosphere was so uncomfortable they decided to leave and as the Dad walked out he spoke to us and said dang these people suck. The little girl with them was really upset as she wanted to eat there and left crying. I never got the waitresses name as she never told us or had a name tag however, she did have bright blue hair. We almost left too as we were scared she may do something to our food once we ordered drinks. Just writing this review hoping it makes it way to management as they will continue to lose business with this...
