I was at 12755 IHOP on Sat at 1300 on 3/15/25 clerk id#300152000881 I sat at table 34 with 3 ppl. Jackie was my server and she was very pleasant and extremely professional. I rcvd my meal which included pancakes. Once I poured the syrup on my pancakes I assumed the syrup had crystallized. Then I poured more syrup and it was FULL of ANTS. A still live ANT crawled out of the syrup then a few ran across the table. I called for Jackie to come to the table and requested her to go get the mgr. He was in the kitchen cooking and refused to come to my table with my 90 yr of parents. So the two other employees went into the kitchen as told him that I needed to see him and he still refused to come to the table. We explained to them that ants was crawling on the table and out of the syrup and I had eaten the first bites of my pancakes. Jackie came back and said my meal will be discounted I wasn’t looking for a discount, I was looking for a PROFESSIONAL MGR to come to my table and make a professional apology, and he DIDNT! My father got up and he went to the entry of the kitchen and the mgr said he didn’t speak ENGLISH! BUT ALL the customers orders come to the kitchen in ENGLISH and he’s cooking! So we still waited to see if the mgr would come to our table and he still refused! Jackie returned back to the table and said she’s gonna discount the bill. We explained to her it’s NOT your fault it’s the mgr fault! We still tipped her well and she smiled as a to say I’m so sorry this happen to y’all. Two other employees even came to the table and made a professional apology apology. I will post pics on FB so that everyone will see these pics and the way that we were treated at 12755 SW 88 Street store #1303. I work with food 5 days a week and I would have never ever treated my customers the way I was treated in this store! My father is a regular weekly customer and I told him to never ever go back to this store. I do appreciate Jackie for the discount, but I needed to talk with the mgr. His refusal to come out was shocking to me. The rule is always the customers are RIGHT! This store is NOT the “International Bank Of Pancakes, it’s the “International Bank of ANTS”. I called to ask if they could help me get my original order and the man who picked up the phone told me "I don't believe you received the incorrect order because no one else has called to complain about not receiving their correct order so it means we gave them out correctly." What kind of logic is that...?
I then told him the food items I received in front of me and then, word for word, read him my ACTUAL order off the app itself. He then replied "oh yes, I remember that second order, but it was not under your name, it was under another name." I truly think common sense is difficult to come by these days. Please explain to me, if the order was under another person's name, how would I be telling you the order, word for word, and, at the same time, also be telling you the order of the other person with a perfect description of each item... The only way I could do that is if I had written proof of one order (my receipt on UberEats) and the physical food items from the other incorrect order. (Unless I was able to guess the "secret menu" item order the other person placed out of pure luck, which, if that is the case, I should be playing the lottery.) He could not, to save his life, take responsibility for the mistake made by the restaurant he works at. On top of that, I did not receive a physical receipt with "my order;" it was just my name written on a blank piece of white paper stapled to a very large brown paper bag... Regardless, I sent proof to UberEats with photos attached and my money was refunded. Thankful that iHop does not have delivery service themselves, otherwise I would have not received any compensation for...
Read morenot to sound cliché or petty...but i wish i could give 0 stars...i guess this one star will go to the people who keep the restaurant clean...which still wasn't done very well considering the table was sticky and the seats were covered in salt...other than that this place has gone to the gutters!! if you use to love this place and haven't been in a year...BEWARE!! They must have replaced all the cooks as well as the servers...the food not only came out cold but it was a long wait when they weren't busy (only 7 other tables) which leads me to believe the food was just waiting for our server which spent most of her time in the corner of the restaurant back by the bathrooms talking to other servers..my boyfriend got the wrong order when it finally came out...and had to ask for ranch 3 times... my toast was just over buttered soggy stale toast...and when i asked to just have it slightly more toasted...she brought out "new toast" that was literally just unbuttered bread!! VERY DISAPPOINTING!! They should do a whole reset again and find some...
