I picked up dinner for the family this past Sunday and decided to get traditional sodas..... I won't trash their food because it's actually pretty good, but the customer service of the cash register or hostess well that's something else. I have a business and first thing is customer satisfaction, I would have to say that this is what keeps a business open. The lack of having a courteous person at a register or answering the phone is well probably one of the most important factors which makes clients want to come back, management has to consider that this person is the face of the business. I asked for 3 sodas to go along with a family dinner for 6 and was billed for glass sodas. hmmm I mentioned it to the young man that was putting my order together and he approached the girl at the register and she just rudely told me "I asked you" and I told her no miss you did not, but I am picking up a family dinner which would give someone with common sense the idea that I wanted 2 liter bottles or at least the customer service skill to ask which she never did. I did not notice as I left and I got home to see that I was only given two so I called and she picked up....talk about rude. I told her that I was only given two bottles and she rudely told me that I was given 3 so now she's arguing with me.... Honestly it's not about the money but it's the principal and idea that when one goes to a restaurant either to pick up food or to eat in, it's to have a pleasant time and to top it off as I was telling her I can pass by tomorrow to pick up the missing soda she continued to clarify it's only one and hung up on me. I tried to go in today to see about them rectifying the problem, but when I initially asked for the owner's or manager I was told there was nobody but because I insisted, she finally called a manager but was told by him that the only one who can solve that problem was the manager that works on Wednesday....No help from this manager. There seems to be a lack of leadership. So I will take my business elsewhere, there are so many other Peruvian restaurants in Kendall. Beware....check your food and receipts prior to exiting to make sure everything...
Read moreTo start with, four of us ordered food here. Two of us got the same dish, and the other two ordered something else different, plus we all got drinks (which is $3 per can of coke!) the first plate came out and all of our drinks after about 12 minutes. After patiently waiting another 10 minutes for the rest of the plates, we encouraged that person to just eat their food as it’s fish and it doesn’t go bad and get cold. After about 15 minutes in total of waiting two of the plates, then arrived, which were both the same thing; steak. At this point, the first person has already completely finished eating before ours came and had to just had to watch us eat. As you can see in the photos, the two steaks are drastically different in size and they were both ordered medium. The smaller one was completely overcooked and was actually burnt and hard to cut and chew (half of it was literally rock hard burnt). I’m not sure about the other persons as I didn’t ask. After about another eight minutes after receiving those two dishes, the fourth dish finally arrived. By this point all of our drink drinks which we have been waiting to drink when our food came were warm. When we asked waiters for updates on food, they were very standoffish. Mind you this was not a cheap meal as it was about $140, and it’s not even a waited service. Save your time and money, go somewhere else that knows how to property cook and time plates. And staff that is polite, understanding and apologetic. Any other restaraunt would have brought all the food out at a similair time, or atleast have offered a free appetizer to accommodate the wait..
Photos for reference: I took the photo of the one plate of food after waiting about 15 minutes for the other plates. The other photo shows the first person finished their plate already and the 4th has not received theirs, but more importantly the difference in the size of the steaks, THAT ARE THE EXACT SAME ORDER!
1/10 would strongly urge you away from this...
Read moreI tried to dine in with my pregnant wife and elder mother-in-law at this horrible place and I could not get a seat because the uninformed and horrible manager kicked me out because I had a service dog with me. I explained to him that my service dog was federally registered, I try showing him the paperwork for the dog and he insisted that I sat on the outside tables with the heat and the flies, which in part are attracted to the outside tables because of their horrible hygiene. So, I explained that I was with a pregnant woman, an elderly person and that I myself suffer from a condition for which I have a service dog on me, he still insisted that no, I wasn't going to be sitting inside with the dog. I told the guy there is a federal law (American Disability Act) and his (smart ass) said he didn't care because the restaurant had a deal with the state of Florida. I asked him if he understood what the ADA was or what it meant, or even if he wanted me to read it, to what he said he didn't really know English. So I asked to speak to a superior and responded he was the most superior person, so I asked to speak to the owner to which he answer there is no one else with a very mean attitude, so I asked him if he thought he was god because he was the person in charge of a restaurant and he said ( mocking me) YES I am God. so, I called the cops on him. they told me to escalate thing to the BBB and I did, they will be hearing from them soon. this place is a total disgrace to the Peruvian community and to their food, been there before and never ever liked the service, I gave them one more chance and they failed miserably to understand the laws of this country. My mistake is not remembering that cheap average food is not worth the chaos their uniformed and untrained staff can cause on your beautiful day. here a list of other peruvian places nearby with better food: Chifa Du Kan, Pizco y Nazca, Ranchito mi Peru and La Perla, they are way...
