I asked the girl how much for a cheese pie she looked at me and did not understand english. I could not even understand with her heavy accent her communication skills were horrible. I asked her how much for pizza with ex cheese. Since the price was close to $27.00 for pizza, I decided to order just large cheese pie. She took my credit card and charged me for the extra cheese since she did not speak or understand english. There were others working there and she asked them what to do and she gave me back cash for the difference. I checked my credit card there was charge for $30.33. I called the store in the early afternoon the person who picked up the phone, he did not care to listen he put me on hold and told me to call back after 3:00pm and speak to Robert. I called back and they told me Robert is in the parking lot. I asked when can he speak to me, they told me the girl who took the order will contact me what is my phone number. I told them why should I speak to the girl who messed up my order and charged my credit card the wrong amount? Guess what she never called, fact of the matter is nobody called back. They expect everyone walking into their store to speak Spanish? Yes I know this is Kendall but the point is we are still living in Florida and United States where most speak english. Look up the state law in Tallahassee the official language is english. The main point here is really really bad and NO! customer service. They could have handled the issue with being more professional. But they hired this girl who has no people skills and does not know what she is doing on top of not knowing or speaking English. Does not matter if the pizza is good you will get your credit card charged with the wrong amount. I called my credit card company and did a chargeback the customer service said $30.00 for pizza? Go to the supermarket and get...
Read moreThe food was great. However, never have I experienced such lack of customer service with any pizzeria like I did with this one. We placed 1 order to be delivered to my place of work and we then decided to pay separately when the food arrived as it was for multiple people. When I look at the receipts every person was charged the full delivery fee individually. So at this point we are charged approximately $14-15 for a delivery fee to the same location under the same order. In all honesty would have been cheaper to go on Ubereats. Called the place and spoke to 3 different people that were of no help at all, and not once did they offer to refund the unjust charges for the same order. Which would have been the logical thing to do as a business if common sense was involved. Even let them know that it was delivered to the same location under the same order under 1 person. Definitely feel ripped off, just wish they were not so money hungry to not return money for delivery to 1 location which is unjust. When you eat at a restaurant and you split a bill, do you tip the waitress double for the total because it’s two separate transactions at the same table? NO you tip the tab percentage 1 time. Hope the $15 for the delivery fee was worth my loss of business and justifies the delivery distance right down the street less than 1 block away! Will continue to take my business to Two Brother’s Pizzeria & Restaurant and Mike’s Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant, since they obviously have their act together. Will be calling my credit card company in the morning. Overall thanks for...
Read moreI returned to Vesuvio in Bayridge after many years, having moved from Brooklyn years ago. The occasion was a small party of 16 to celebrate the christening of my granddaughter. What a pleasant surprise as they went beyond our expectations! First and foremost the food was plenty and very good!!!! We had several shared family style appetizers and pasta with each of us ordering individual dinners from a choice of 4 entrees. The food was perfectly timed coming out in intervals allowing everyone to enjoy and digest and chat in between courses. Ryan, our server, was excellent handling our crowd (ranging from 1 year to 72 years and everything in between) with ease and interest. He made himself available and present the entire time. Everyone enjoyed their chosen entree and the appy’s were all delicious. To our surprise the cannoli filled cake was beyond good…..it was bakery quality great! We requested to be seated in a small open spaced private area away from the main seating if it was available that day and they were able to set that up for us! It was like a private party. The cost for all we had worked out well and was very fair. I am happy to say although many things have closed or changed since I left Brooklyn, Vesuvio is still there and still rocking it. I highly recommend it if you are thinking of a party or get together or just a dinner. I will certainly be back the next time I am...
