(scratches head) I'm really surprised to see the negative reviews here but even with the negative reviews (which I personally don't agree with) note what they say even with the negative ones - the donuts are excellent.. and at the end of the day that's what I'm there for, a great tasting donut.
Which they are... my wife is quite possibly the second most fussiest eater I've ever met in my life (my daughter gets first place in that regard) and this morning as my wife was eating her guava cheese donut she had this dreamy look on her face.. my daughter loves Jupiter donuts too, so does my son... sadly my diabetes forces me to miss out on these awesome donuts :( (though in moments of weakness I've had a small chunk of a donut and even that tastes amazing).. but I remember the business owner in the same plaza Jupiter donuts is in telling me that he had a Jupiter donuts he used to go to elsewhere and he was predicting lines around the block when they opened up, the donuts were that good (this was prior to Jupiter donuts opening up).
I personally have found the employees to be very friendly and helpful - shout out to Donny the assistant manager in particular who handles my custom donut orders (try it you'll like it :) ... just come up with a choice of filling, frosting and topping and they'll do it for you, you have to phone it the day before but trust me it's worth it :) ) ... but honestly all the employees are awesome...
As far as the complaints about them not wearing a mask... to date they are the only small business I know of who installed a door foot opening type thing on the door (try it, it's pretty neat, you pull on it with your foot at the bottom of the door allowing you to open the door without touching the door handle a bunch of other customers probably have), then you just shoulder your way through the door on the way out ... they have a hand sanitizer pump clearly visible that is always full of hand sanitizer whenever I go there... compare to my local Walmart that got rid of most of their hand sanitizer pumps (yes the multi billion dollar company Walmart) and that never seems to have hand sanitizing wipes available to wipe your cart handle down with (still talking about Walmart here).
Look if you're that concerned about the mask issue why don't you GO GET YOUR COVID SHOT LIKE A SANE HUMAN BEING?!??? You can walk into any pharmacy and get it for FREE you don't even need insurance (though the right thing to do of course is give them your insurance card - it's still going to be free for you insurance or no), and pretty much all the pharmacies nowadays just let you walk in without an appointment (though honestly I think you're better off making an appointment)... for crying out loud when I look at these other reviews " A donut isn't worth dying for"... seriously? Not being a tad overdramatic there? And given how nice the staff are I'm sorry I just can't take the one reviewer's complaints seriously about being trolled by the staff when she raised concerns about the masks ... folks , be aware there are insane people out there who will leave negative reviews and make stuff up, I've worked in retail myself and I know the type of customer that does that sort of thing.
Long story short, amazing donuts, great customer service... one warning though get there early :) ... like before 9am , they sell out of their donuts quick (the donuts are that good) and note that they close sometimes earlier than 1pm - what's the point of staying open if all the donuts got snapped up by eager customers? I'm up early anyways for about the next month or so (after which both my children will hopefully be driving themselves around to school or otherwise) but those of you who aren't will want to set your clocks .... and to be safe if there's a particular flavor of donut you want, call ahead the day before and ask them to save it for you (yes the donuts really do sell out...
Read moreOh dear... where do I begin? These people are so tired and overwhelmed, when they speak to you— it is literal gibberish that does not make any sense. Either the lady I was speaking with is on the verge of a mental breakdown, incredibly exhausted or a combination of the two. I had to repeat the exact same thing to her four times IN A ROW. By the fourth time, she finally sputtered, “I am sorry, I’m just super busy and trying to do a million things.” If the owner is reading this— please get enough staff instead of overworking your staff so much that they can’t even speak straight. That’s not right. It became a little awkward and made me uncomfortable. Do not order the iced coffee— they do not add any sugar or flavors into it. You will find yourself making a mess fighting through ice cubes to get the sugar evenly distributed. The donuts are not what you would expect from a small donut shop, it is more what you would expect from Dunkin Donuts. The old fashioned glazed from Starbucks is better than the one I got from here which is not what I was hoping for especially considering I have 400 points on my Starbucks card and, therefore, could’ve gotten an old fashioned glazed donut for free from Starbucks. Not impressed. Maybe it was just this location? Regardless, I was way too put off by the weird behavior to try this place (or any of their other locations) a second time. Starbucks—...
Read moreI’ve been to this location twice. The first time I was helped by a nice guy that took his time with my order even though the store was packed on a Saturday. 5 stars for him!!! My second visit, a young lady with reddish hair assisted me and I was disappointed by the lack of help with my order. I asked to get a 1/2 dozen. She explained that there were donuts that were only sold individually that I was interested in choosing. So I said I would order a few donuts individually then, but to place them in the box (so they won’t get squished in a bag). She told me that the individually sold donuts could not be placed in a box even though I was paying for them individually. Ummm, ok. 🤷🏽♀️ Then after I selected each donut, she asked me “if that was it” As I’m looking at the menu trying to select my next item (only chose 4 items). Mind you, there was no one behind me in line until I was paying in which she seemed eager to join their conversation as I was still paying. No eye contact the entire time…rushed…didn’t even get to order my breakfast sandwich. 🫤 Active listening is key!! Every paying customer is different and should receive the same...
