Title: Disappointed with Service at Krispy Kreme
Review:
I recently had a disappointing experience at Krispy Kreme, which compelled me to share my thoughts and feelings here. After a grueling 12-hour shift, my coworker and I were eagerly looking forward to stopping by Krispy Kreme for some indulgent doughnuts. However, our excitement quickly turned into frustration when we discovered that only the drive-up service was available due to a staff shortage.
While I understand that staff shortages can occur, it is disheartening that the entire store was closed to walk-in customers. This could have been better communicated through their website or social media platforms to save customers the time and effort of making the trip.
Although the drive-up service was an option, it was not feasible for us at the time. Not everyone has access to a vehicle or prefers using a drive-up service. This limited operating model left many of us craving Krispy Kreme's delicious treats without a feasible means of obtaining them.
I believe that Krispy Kreme could have better managed the situation by providing alternative solutions for customers, especially considering the long-standing reputation and popularity of their doughnuts. Perhaps offering a limited menu or implementing a temporary walk-up service with a reduced staff could have been effective in such circumstances.
In contrast, Burger King, located next door, demonstrated exceptional service despite their own staffing challenges. With only two employees working, they managed to accommodate our needs swiftly and efficiently. This experience highlighted the importance of adaptability and customer-centric approaches even in challenging circumstances.
While my disappointment lies primarily with the lack of communication and flexibility from Krispy Kreme, I would like to applaud Burger King for their ability to provide excellent service despite their own limitations.
I hope that Krispy Kreme will address this issue promptly and find ways to better serve their loyal customers during staff shortages. It is my sincere hope that they live up to their reputation and swiftly resolve this matter to regain customer trust and satisfaction.
Please keep in mind that my intention while sharing this review is to provide constructive feedback and encourage improvement. I genuinely hope that Krispy Kreme will take this feedback to heart and make the necessary changes to enhance the overall...
Read moreHave spent 55+ years enjoying KK donuts in the Pensacola area until today! We went into the store on East Nine Mile Rd. to enjoy some hot fresh donuts. As we approached the front door, I noticed a sign on the door that said masks were required at businesses within the Pensacola city limits. I immediately went back to my vehicle and put on a mask. When I entered the door, I saw 2 people (employees) in the lobby and 3 people in the prep area not wearing masks. So I took my mask off and proceeded into the store. The snot-nosed kid at the counter told me I had to wear a mask at any business inside the Pensacola city limits. If I didn't comply, I'd have to leave. I informed him that we were no where near the city limits of Pensacola (we were appx. 3 miles north) on East Nine Mile Rd., rather we were in the county (Escambia). He proceeded to argue the fact with me, so I asked to speak to his manager so I could ask him/her why there were 5 employees in the store not wearing masks. He left and returned in short order only to tell me his manager was "busy" and didn't have time to come speak with me. I pointed at the "district" manager who was sitting in the lobby speaking to another employee. The snot-nosed kid told me they were in an important meeting and could not speak to me either. Yet both of them were watching and listening to my conversation with the counter snot. I also wanted to inquire why there were 2 employees with full beards in the food preparation area and neither were wearing a beard net. If I'm not mistaken, the "law" requires facial hair nets in food preparation areas! I'm sure the health dept. would agree! Mayor Grover Robinson may think he owns the city of Pensacola and can force people to give up our rights out here in the county, news flash, he can't. I have no problem complying by wearing a mask for public safety, but don't expect people to wear masks while your managers and employees choose not to comply. KK should focus on the food prep safety laws that they are ignoring...
Read moreReview based on waiting for them to open. Unfortunately didn't have an opportunity to taste the donuts. Their hours are posted as opening at 6 a.m. on Sunday morning verified on their door and on their website. I've been sitting here at the drive-thru window for 25 minutes. No one is answering the phone and no one is taking orders. I would not have waited this long but my wife was wanting Krispy Kreme for mother's day....
Updated - 12-10-21 Decided to give this place another try. Mainly because my wife was in the car and she wanted to go there. I decided that I needed to go in because I wanted to see what they had available other than the basic glazed. When I walked up to the door it was locked no sign of any kind. I knew I had seen some people sitting in there so I walked to the first window and in fact there were two employees sitting at a table literally two feet from where I was looking at them. Hi politely tapped on the window to ask if they were in fact open or if the dining room was closed. Both had to try to avoid looking at me. I tapped three more times successively each a little harder. Again I was tapping heavily on the glass not 18 in from one of them's ears. All four times neither one would even bother to look at me much less making it effort to see what I was trying to find out. This was approximately 3:45 pm on a Friday and according to their website, the dining room was open until 7:00 and the drive-thru was open till 11:00. Needless to say I didn't bother going to the drive-thru.
Officially done wasting my time with...
