La Taza Coffee & More — Restaurant in Florida

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch here. He had a cranberry feta salad and I the soup (carrot lentil) and chicken salad sandwich. We loved it all, but the highlight was my sandwich. The crusty bread was absolutely scrumptious! And don’t let me forget the cafe con leche. Delicious!

Regarding the ambiance…. Exceptionally bright, clean, comfortable. And unlike many coffee shops, they do table service. I suggest you try this coffee shop before it gets ‘discovered’ and crowded. What a great little restaurant! I found this place by chance yesterday. I needed a quick lunch and they advertised sandwiches so I figured I'd give em a try....so glad I did!

The place is very clean, and the decor is nice. The bathroom was SPOTLESS, which is kinda rare in Jax...The service was excellent. Timely and attentive without being pesty.

I chose the Turkey and Mozzarella sandwich (I forget the name), because it's hard to screw up a sandwich. It's also hard to impress with a sandwich, but MAN WAS THIS GOOD!! Fresh turkey, fresh mozzarella, and REAL FRENCH BREAD. Absolutely amazing sandwich! They served it with tostada chips from a bag...not sure why.

HUGE Rave for La Taza Coffee Shop @ 3915 A1AS. Met a friend there for lunch. Had a 1/2 sandwich (Roasted turkey breast, brie, granny smith apples and fig spread) & 1/2 salad (mixed greens, goat cheese, dates and a vinaigrette dressing) combo for $10. SO YUMMY! Topped it all off with a "Cortadito" (sweetened espresso with steamed milk). Beautifully fresh ingredients served in a gracious presentation in a well appointed ambiance. LOVED IT!! Had no room but there were plenty of scrumptious homemade desserts like Dolce de Leche...
