The owner was very friendly, so much so that I actually feel bad leaving a one-star review. …But I am not reviewing his bedside manner, I came to get lunch. My initial impression after walking in was to walk back out. The place could use a deep cleaning or a mop, at the very least. Again not a huge deal, I am there to get lunch, not marvel at shiny floors. I asked if they had a Chicago-style hotdog to which they replied: "would you like lettuce on it?", to which I said no, thank you. I also ordered a cheesesteak with hot peppers and cheese. After about 15 minutes, I received my hotdog and cheesesteak. The hotdog was suffering from an identity crisis. It didn't know if it wanted to be a hoagie or a hotdog. I got back and noticed it had the lettuce on it that I did not want, but it wasn't bad tasting, just way too much bread for what should have come on a hotdog bun. The cheesesteak looked good, it did not have the hot peppers I asked for, but I can roll with that. Allow me to preface this next part because I don't like to waste food ever, especially when its from an animal origin. When an animal sacrifices its life the very least I could do is finish my meal and not toss whats left of the animal in the trash. It just seems wrong to me. To say something was off putting with the flavor of the cheesesteak is an understatement. There was some foul rancid flavor in the cheese or the meat. I was barely able to swallow the one and only bite I took. A coworker asked to try it, and he said the same thing, "Something is wrong with that meat. It's old or something." I was really hopeful this would be good, I am now still hungry and feeling a little nauseated at the rancid taste in my mouth. Regretfully, Nate

Ya know, I've come here off and on over the years. It's raved about a good bit. Absolutely packed during lunch hours. But this time, it kinda all clicked as to why I don't come here often, and might not in the future. A friend of mine and I got here at 11.30, just before the lunch crowd rushed in. The dude at the register was more concerned about the conversation he was having with what I assumed was a food vendor or friend. We stood directly in front of him for a good five minutes while he finished his conversation. Then looked at us and simply said "what do you want to order." Very little care about any type of customer service or politeness. Which, hey, I guess if/when you make a decent cheesesteak, you can slack on a few things. So we grab a table after we put in our order. And sit. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. At the 30 minute mark, we contemplate going somewhere else, but, we've already paid. So we're kinda stuck. Total wait time from order to food... 48 minutes. Given the beginning, total wait time from walking in (with no line) to food... 55 minutes. There's no order or flow of how they actually operate things. And when you start to look... like... really look... the place is so dirty and grimy. And there's a widely known saying that you can tell how clean a place is by their restrooms. The picture attached is of the men's room sink. And yes, when you turn the water on, it does spray out of multiple places in multiple directions. Cheesesteak was okay-ish. But. The whole experience made it mediocre at best.

Heard through the vine during my Kappy’s visit that this was the other Cheesesteak spot to try so I made the venture during my lunch break. Ordered ahead by like 15-20 minutes ahead, order was ready to go upon my arrival. I had ordered a mini but they had run out of stock; go big or go home Philly definitely well cooked and plenty of cheese the way I like itAlso a big fan of chopped onions mixed in with the meat! Also they packed that thing never feeling like they skimped out on the meat. Definitely gonna order in store for Door Dash didn’t give me any other options outside of bacon and extra cheese. Definitely would’ve liked some peppers and mushrooms; more reason to come back. Fries were nice too and cheeses sauce was right amount of heat. On my way out too, I heard someone ask for cheese wiz; on the time crunch I was on, I didn’t have time to add mine. Again, not an option per Door Dash. All my grievances just entice me to come back during the weekend for the in store experience, so I’ll be back.

This place is going downhill fast. It used to be great before they started taking large orders online and making customers wait forever to get a sub. Now let me say this, The people that work there are nice and friendly. However, they are not capable of handling the amount of orders that they are receiving. They’re throwing these subs together like mincemeat on an old sponge. Now let me say this, I don’t mind waiting a while for my sub , I really don’t, I have no problem with that. But I do have a problem with waiting a half an hour for my sub when it’s not made correctly. When I get home I find that all the things that I wanted on my sub are not there. So I just waited a half an hour because of GrubHub and online orders, and my order is not even correct. So we have a serious problem here folks. I also had a piece of cardboard in my sandwich, and this is because they're throwing these subs together to fast to make them good. The bottom line is that Laspada and it’s employees cannot handle taking online orders and Customer orders at the same time. This is totally disrespectful to the customers that come in and order food. While I was waiting there were at least 15 online order people coming in asking about the orders taking up time and it’s not their fault because they look online and Laspada says they take online orders. The problem is that Laspada doesn’t know what they’re doing. Them Boomers just ain't zoomers. They have no idea how to take online orders and customer orders at the same time. In all seriousness, in order for a business to successfully handle online ordering, there has to be two totally different systems in place to do that. You need to have a line that prioritizes customers that walk in and order , and you need to have separate employees ready to make the large orders for GrubHub and online orders. If you don’t have both of these systems ready to go, then please don’t take online orders just don’t do it. And if you are going to take online orders, then, when it gets too crowded inside, you can suspend further online orders until it calms down. Don’t keep taking orders online when you have 20 customers lined up outside the door. Just use your common sense. You don't want to make 15 subs for GrubHub and 20 subs for somebody’s birthday party or even 1 sub from online ordering when it’s crowded inside. We have plenty of great places to eat in Orlando and we don't need to wait 30 minutes for a mediocre hastily made sloppy sub. Laspada used to be a great place to get a sub if you’re in a hurry, now I find cardboard in my sub and nothing that I ordered on top of it and it took a half an hour. If you change your ways and stop taking online orders and put the walk-in customers first, then respond to this review by letting me know that you discontinued online orders I may try you in the future, but for now you’re...

My husband and I have tried so many... TOO many... "Great Cheesesteaks"... AND THEN…😍

Okay. I don't know about you, but Florida's idea of what a "Cheesesteak" or "Hoagie" is, well, it's defective. Everywhere that boasts a good Cheesesteak here locally, pretty much has a good sub sandwich... But a true Cheesesteak, or Hoagie, they are not.

.....Except for this place. Wow. LaSpada's serves up the genuine article, right down to offering Cheese Wiz as an add on... (Funny how my husband asked me if they use it when he had his first LaSpada's Cheesesteak... and although I hadn't added it on this trip, he somehow knew they had it!) To top it off, the cost of each menu item is very reasonable. The Cheesesteaks we had, lacked NOTHING. They were spot-on. PLENTY of meat, PLENTY of Cheese, and PLENTY of flavor... Fantastic. Made to order, they offer multiple additions. We actually had the Mushroom Cheesesteak, with grilled onions, no peppers. They were, like I said, fantastic! They have plenty of Cheesesteaks, Hoagies, sides, and chips, (etc!) to choose from. If you are a true Cheesesteak fan, or, if you've been looking for the real deal, don't miss out on this place! You won't regret it!

One final note; The owner and servers/cooks/preps are such kind people. They are friendly, and care for the community. I actually discovered LaSpada's because of the fact I saw them on the news, open and serving customers, just after one of our more damaging hurricanes hit. It knocked power out for literally thousands of homes all over Central Florida and our state. Even though they had no power, (this includes those worker's homes!) they ran the basics on generator just to be open and serve folks without a way to prepare meals at home. They served without thought of themselves, working hard to help the community. After I saw this, I knew I had to make it in to give them a try... and I'm glad I did. They are now our go-to for a GOOD... No, GREAT Cheesesteak!

Thanks, all of you... This really speaks volumes about you all. Because of your kindness, coupled with the best Cheesesteaks in town, you have us for life!

Be aware that they do close a little earlier. They are open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. You gotta...
