I ventured to Mario's of Estero for a casual lunch, hoping to sample some of their popular appetizers. The restaurant itself made a strong first impression; the interior was clean, well-maintained, and possessed a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. It's clear that they've put effort into creating a comfortable dining space. Our server was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. The service was prompt, and we didn't experience any significant delays, which is always a plus during a lunch break. We opted for a combination of wings and shrimp, choosing the buffalo and garlic parmesan wings and the boom boom shrimp. The wings, thankfully, lived up to expectations. Both the buffalo and garlic parmesan flavors were well-executed, with a good balance of sauce and crispiness. The wings themselves were of a decent size and cooked perfectly. However, the boom boom shrimp proved to be a letdown. The primary issue was the excessive breading. It overwhelmed the delicate shrimp flavor and created a heavy, almost greasy texture. While the sauce itself was tasty, it couldn't compensate for the overabundance of breading. This imbalance significantly detracted from the dish, and it's unlikely I would order it again. In summary, my lunch at Mario's of Estero was a mixed bag. The excellent service and the enjoyable wings were definite positives. However, the disappointing boom boom shrimp highlighted a significant flaw in that particular dish. If you're looking for a comfortable atmosphere and good wings, Mario's is worth a visit. Just be cautious when ordering the breaded...
Read moreI picked up one of our sons and his wife from RSW this morning. They were up very early and we wanted to grab breakfast while waiting out the Ft. Myers southbound to Naples rush hour traffic. We wanted to try a place that was not a chain breakfast restaurant and found Mario's. It's a sports bar that serves breakfast in addition to lunch and dinner. The place itself is what you would expect when you think of a sports bar in a retail strip. However, the breakfast was really good with friendly staff and fast service. The coffee was excellent. My son had the breakfast platter which looked incredible and he said was very good. My daughter in law and I had western omelettes which were hot, big and good. I ordered some fruit with my omelette and instead of getting the little bowl of grapes and a few odds and ends, I was delighted that it was large pieces of hand cut fresh fruit. We also split some pancakes which were excellent. By the time we headed out at 9 am, the place was filling up. I asked for some coffee to go in my travel mug. Mario rinsed out my mug with some hot water and poured it full of fresh coffee. The next time I pick someone up from RSW early and they want to grab breakfast, I'm definitely taking them to Mario's. I highly...
Read moreHuge Breakfast menu.Turn the menu over there is another huge menu. Dozens of choices on both. Fried mushroom appetizer totally delicious & shareable! Our friend ordered 1/2 order of pancakes, which filled the plate & a side of 4 sausage links - yum yum! Had amazing steak fajita wrap, with sweet potato fries. Daughter ordered the gyro wrap with chips freshly made & served hot was wonderful! Absolutely the best potato chips all three of us ever had. EVERYTHING came out hot & exactly as ordered. All very reasonably priced. The staff was warm & friendly, immediately greeting us, making us feel right at home.Towards the end of the meal Mario came to our table to say hello. His total interest was whether we were completely satisfied. It was a delight meeting him. We all agreed we would give his restaurant 20 stars, if available.
