For starters, I tried ordering at a kiosk and had to wait for it to bring up the option to pay at the counter. Or maybe I did something wrong? Who knows, those things are complicated, confusing and unintuitive. When I went to pay at the counter, the cashier was unable to do a split payment transaction between two cards. That's absurd. In a world of debit and prepaid cards, being able to type in an amount to charge is a matter of course. So I finally get my food and sit down to eat, then a McDonald's employee comes and starts spraying table cleaner around where I'm eating. Maybe it was just my imagination, but my food tasted a little off afterward. Regardless, he shouldn't have been spraying table cleaner around dining patrons. I went to the cashier and reported the issue and was met with a dismissive attitude. Then a women who claimed to be the district manager came up and started practically yelling at and interrogating me. I explained what happened and that I'd simply like a refund, but she said she'd only replace the fries and asked where they were. Her tone was hostile and antagonistic the entire time, and I just said forget it and walked out of there to avoid having to deal with her anymore. She struck me as one of THOSE people, the type who gets into a position of power and thinks it's an excuse to start treating people she sees as beneath her, like THE CUSTOMERS FOR WHOM THAT MCDONALD'S EXISTS, poorly, disrespectfully, and unprofessionally. I contacted corporate about both the issue of the chemicals being sprayed and the district manager's hostile conduct towards a customer. After all, the entire fiasco occurred in front of a camera, so it's not like these events aren't verifiable. Regardless, it seems like professionalism and customer appreciation are dead in the service sector. Or maybe just in South Florida. Or maybe just in this price range. Maybe the McDonald's belief is "go to a better restaurant or take it like a chump." Whatever the case, it was an all around unpleasant experience from the moment I walked in this location's door.
As an aside, "Rachell" from corporate offered a canned response and zero resolution. This is probably why they don't have an easily found customer service number, because they don't give a rat's ass about their customers' health and...
Read moreLike usual they screwed up the order because I went through the drive-thru instead of going inside where I could easily check my order before I leave.I guess that's what happens when a business hires teenagers that really don't care about their job and they pay extremely low wages. I don't think they could get a plain cheeseburger right especially if you pick it up through the drive-thru The only thing they care about is to drive through is how fast they get you in and out they could care less if your order is ready or not as long as the timer doesn't go past the certain point, and if you're waiting inside for an order they don't care how long it takes you to get your food because they're too busy with the drive-thru trying to keep their times under certain amount just goes to show what's important to them and what's not customer satisfaction is definitely not at the top of their list as far as importance speed and getting customers in and out as fast as possible whether the order is correct or not is important to them at the drive-thru, speed of getting a customer out is it actually walks inside to order is definitely not important to them as they will serve five to six maybe even up to eight drive-thru customers before they get your order ready if you walk inside and I guarantee you if you walk inside to place your order your food will not be as hot as if you go through the drive-thru Your order may not be correct but the food will be hot if you go inside and check your order before you leave your order might be correct but your food...
Read moreToday. Friday August 14. We went as a family to get some food and Ice cream cones. When we notice this guy making the cones with no gloves while everyone were using them. Its the protocol in this hard times. They ask us to wear mask and they use mask and gloves.. We ask politely for him to wear gloves and re do the cones. Then this lady (looked as the manager) tried to give us with an angry attitude the same melting cones but we refuse. She then sent us to the parking to wait for the cones. I steeped out of the car to go inside to see if they would do the cones again, it took me like 15 seconds and to my surprise this guy was finishing 1 cone and put it with the four we were given before at this stage those cones were melted a lot. I went back inside and return them, put them next to the cashier and left. So Disappointed of this people. So 1 star just because a can't put 0. Call me over reacting, probably yes but what if I meet you at the bus stop and notice you are thirsty and I am not wearing a mask but i have a bottle water that I just open but haven't drink of it yet and I give it to you. Would you take it? Or drink without knowing if I sneezed on the bottle or not? Well. I definitely not coming back to this specific McDonald's and for all of you out there be careful with this people...
