Grand opening week - so let me say, this place was clean! The ambiance was what you’d want in a buffet. Bring a jacket, they don’t have the AC dialed in just yet and it’s going to blow directly down on you. If you look at my page, I give fair reviews, so here’s the real: ⚠️ Tip culture. You pay before you sit and they’ll straight up ask “do you want to tip now or leave it on the table?” ⚠️ kids are measured by height for price. That was interesting and is neither a pro or con (unless your kid is tall.) ⚠️ the selection is both large and small. For instance, there was a lot of inventory on the sushi buffet, but only 4 or 5 different “types” of rolls. None of them were good or fresh and all were the fake Krab meat. 🛑 ALL and I mean ALL the food was COLD. That was the worst part. Cold chicken. Cold rice. And just for context, we arrived maybe 10 minutes after open for lunch - so every tray was freshly filled and ready…yet all of it was cold. ✅ hibachi was great. Great rice. Great flavor.

Big big space! What I went here as part of the soft opening. I like that there are different selection of foods like dimsum - good or bad... well, there was a selection of like chicken feet, pig feet, har gaw, rice rolls, pork ribs. I thought the chicken feet were good, others were ok. There is a wide selection of other foods - including some western food and western style asian food. There is also a sushi area - though more rolls. And a Pho/noodles soup bar. Environment This is located inside a plaza on the end. There is plenty of parking available. The inside the food area is in the center and the seating is on the edge. Very nicely decorated Niceness of the staff Staff frequent the rounds to ensure all the empty plates are taken and making sure you are filled with water. Dollar It was decently priced I think. The lunch was ~15$ Yes/No? It was decent selection. I would consider bringing friends

Since there are a lot of posts about the banyan buffet on West colonial, I went to go try it this evening since the only buffet I know is crazy buffet in this area. There was quite a few varieties that is not available at crazy buffet. For example, the braise duck, egg tarts(my favorite) ,and the dim sum is wider variety as well. However there weren't any green onions or scallions available for the soups. The sauce for the dumpling wasn't available. The food was lukewarm or cold. Not a lot of sushi variety And it was dry when I tried it. There was a lot of mislabeling of food products for example pizza label but there was chicken instead in the plate(see photos below). The entire dessert section was mislabeled. The chow mein was actually better than crazy buffet in my opinion.

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at this buffet was so disappointing that I felt I had to warn others.

First off, the food was just terrible. Everything seemed bland and overcooked, and it didn’t taste fresh at all. The meats were dry, the vegetables were soggy, the seafood was overcooked and smelled funny and the dessert section looked like it had been sitting there for hours. The sushi was stale, and the rolls were falling apart. I honestly couldn’t tell if some of the food was old or just poorly prepared. Mind you this was my first time ever coming because I heard so much good things about it. My partner and I paid $40 it was after 5 dinner. I was so upset I forgot to even take pictures because I was just so disappointed. I did talk to someone upfront and he just said yeah im so we had to turn stuff down because it was to hot for lunch he also said if there's on bad crab in the box it could affect the rest but nothing he said was making since.

Honestly, it wasn’t worth the money. This is literally my first time EVER leaving a review. You know when your so hungry and you finally eat for the first time that day, and when you eat the food is nasty it just makes you feel like you didnt even eat, yeah I won’t be coming back. Hopefully this review will encourage them...

This buffet I think caters to folks who like more traditional Chinese, and seafood, which is great for them. My wife and kids were happy with the sushi and seafood options. There is a lot of dim sum, which want really for us. There were a lot of different beef dishes which would have been great, but they were all luke warm. Other items were very hot, like the soups.

The servers kept our table clean and waters filled, so the service was great. I don't like seafood, so I didn't get sushi at first. My wife and kids did and they thought a lot of it was very creative and tasted good, just that rude was a little crispy. I mentioned that I would try the sushi to the gentleman making it, but I don't eat seafood. He made me a cucumber and cream cheese roll and bright it to the table! I thought it tasted great and I ate the whole roll. That is incredible service.

The only other knock I have that as for as clean and nice as the dining room was. The men's room was dirty, smelled, was poorly/half way remodeled.

I would try them again if the rest of my family wanted to go, but for me personally there just weren't enough options for me since I don't care for seafood. If you like a lot of seafood and dim sum, this could be a great...

The bad reviews are a bit extreme or the restaurant improved. It's a new restaurant and they need time to work out the kinks.

First off, please don't change the crab rangoon, fresh ginger or wasabi, they are delicious. They have a pretty good selection, I had to grab little pieces of food cause I wanted to try everything, it all looked good, even the freaking chicken feet. Yo, i sucked on chicken feet cause they looked good (happy wife at home for same reason). They have things that none of the other have like, chicken wings in garlic sauce (aka hot wings), eggfooyoung(I don't know how that's spelled, so sound it out, you know what i mean) a bunch of different steamed buns, meats, banana leaf wrapped foods. I mean like, these bad reviews must own or only go 5 star restaurants. This a under $20 all you can eat place. I almost didn't go cause of the bad reviews. I'm glad I went and its closer than the other ones. Now for the heavy. If you are in the mood to eat sushi.....not the place imo. The sushi is not bad bad, its like i want Chinese food and oh hey, they have sushi. It's the rice, bit granny. The...
