Manager refused to give me a refund, was verbally hostile, and threw my breakfast at me in the drive thru. All I got was a pathetic $20 Panera credit. I asked when the souffles came out. A woman said they're good until 11a. That didn't make sense considering it was 8:30ish and they're only good for 2 hours!! So, I ordered one and a bear claw. I realized that the souffle was NOT fresh. They reheated/burned souffles from when they opened (which is 6:30a). I know what a hot, out of the oven temperature is. I order these all the time and for years. They are going to kill someone vulnerable (ex. elderly/children/immunocompromised) and make people sick with food poisoning!! If the woman had told me the truth, I just would have not ordered one. Simple as that. The manager stated, "I don't like being called a liar. Those were fresh out the oven." I said most definitely not. I never once called her names as she stated I did. I was cool, calm, and collected the entire time. She was unprofessional, hostile, aggressive, immature, and had zero class. I stayed in the drive thru line until other cars came. The manager refused to give me a refund and threw my breakfast at me which landed on the ground. This woman should be fired. What if someone orders a hot beverage and this unstable manager throws it at a customer? This location is surrounded by professionals and affluent neighborhoods. We should not be subjected to ghetto behavior like this. I could literally hear her staff yelling at the manager to give me a refund! It was as simple as that, but the manager had a tantrum because her ego couldn't handle the truth. I fear for her staff if this is how she treats customers! Also, this location is the WORST Panera bakery I have ever been to in terms of quality of the food as well. I have never had a bear claw taste so terrible. It was like it was made with regular flour instead of pastry flour or something. It was heavy and gross. The souffles were terrible too. Again, something wrong with the flour portion of it. If I had known this location was filthy (I read the reviews), I never would have ordered from here. Who cares about drive thru convenience when the food is awful and unsanitary? I'll just walk into a...
Read moreOne Star – Dangerous Negligence & Horrendous Customer Service
If I could give zero stars, I would. This establishment is an absolute disaster when it comes to handling basic instructions, customer service, and—most concerning—food safety.
We placed a pre-ordered meal specifically for a staff meeting, and clearly indicated a serious dairy allergy, requesting NO FETA under any circumstances. What did the incompetent staff do? They put feta in the sandwich anyway. The level of recklessness here is unacceptable—this isn’t a preference issue; it’s a potentially life-threatening allergy, and they showed total disregard for it.
When we called to address this serious mistake, we were met with rudeness, deflection, and zero accountability from the so-called manager (a woman whose tone was as dismissive as it was unprofessional). Instead of owning up to the error, she argued, dodged responsibility, and made it abundantly clear that training, empathy, and leadership are entirely absent from her skill set.
If this manager is the face of the business, it’s no wonder the operation is floundering. Clearly, no protocols are in place to protect customers with dietary restrictions, and staff training appears non-existent. This is not just a customer service issue—it’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Save yourself the frustration, risk, and disrespect. We will never return, and we’ll make sure others are warned. Food allergy negligence is not a joke. Shame...
Read moreI work for a company near this location who regularly orders food for both delivery and rapid pickup. A few days ago, we made a routine order for delivery and followed instructions as per usual. They never call us, but send an email the food was delivered. We walk down the steps to the lobby which takes maybe 1 minute to arrive. Our receptionist advised us the delivery person chose not to wait for us and left. We were shocked and confused, but called the location for assistance. We spoke with an employee named Jessica. She was immediately defensive, chose to interrupt us multiple times and had an attitude. At one point, she interrupted us to repeat what she had said multiple time 'they can only wait so long'... Between you and me, I do not think one to maximum of possibly five minutes was too long, especially since they specifically said they are expected to wait up to 15 minutes. Anywho, i had to say 'excuse me' four times to try and get Jessica to allow me to finish, and finally saying 'can you hear me', her tone changed like she finally realized she was being unprofessional. We finally got her to agree to try getting the food re-delivered, and it was. It was cold, but it arrived. I am still astonished by how poorly we were treated. The VP's of my entire department of 300+ people have chosen not to order from there any further. I hope Jessica's attitude and unprofessional demeanor...
