Our hotel told us this place would be more “kid friendly” to try than their restaurant when we asked for suggestions.
Food was ok, regular bar food, nothing to complain or rave about. Hostesses were great to get us a big booth with the kiddos.
Our waitress, however. I was a server for years. You never judge a book by its cover or prioritize big tables for a bigger tip.
She barely checked on us. When I finally raised my hand to call her over to me to ask for some Buffalo sauce because the Buffalo chicken pizza had barely any (it was honestly gross) she said she’d be right back with it.
I waited over HALF AN HOUR before she came back, empty handed. Thankfully about 20 minutes in, the waitress at the table next to us ran and got it for me. But she didn’t know that. When she finally came back the first thing she said was, “I know it’s probably not worth it now, but do you still need that sauce?” With a laugh. I told her I had already gotten it from the waitress next to us when I realized she wasn’t coming back.
She tried blaming it on the kitchen and the large party she had.
Couldn’t be the kitchen, the other waitress literally ran back to get it and came right back. And I watched her with the large party… She was only there one time and had help from 2 other servers. I literally watched this whole time trying to get her attention and she was going to every table and talking in between. She forgot, or just didn’t, and tried blaming it on other people. Stuff happens, but don’t argue with a customer and don’t blame other people for your mistakes. I didn’t even get upset until I realized I was charged for the sauce even though I waited half an hour and ate cold food. Realistically, any other restaurant would have offered to make the food over or half hour later maybe even comp it. No, I got charged extra. Comical to say the least. Most restaurants fix their mistakes, not argue.
When it came down to it, I wasn’t upset about the lack of sauce, or the cold food by the time I got it, but her lack of attentiveness to our table in general, her attitude and her...
Read moreCourtside Grille was AMAZING!! We live In Tampa and we're unfamiliar with the area looking for a place to eat for lunch, as we were getting jewelry worked on down the street. We asked for a reference as to where to go. Gold and Diamond Source unanimously pointed us in their Direction. Once we got there around 1pm, we were immediately seated, our server Jessica was amazing, our food was hot and delicious, the scenery was very nice, the restaurant was very clean and our meal was very affordable. The lunch rush was underway and didn't seem to affect any of their services. Our food was delivered hot and perfect. As we ate I casually looked around and some stood out...The busser was like lightning as I watched him turn over tables with the best protocol of strict restaurant safety and sanity measures. The Busser even stepped in as host and sat patrons, as to not to keep anyone coming for lunch waiting. It was so refreshing to see EVERYONE working together and an absolute overall excellent experience. Upon leaving I asked to speak to the manager John, to share my experience. He shared with me their appreciation of their employees and that the Busser had been there 17 years since the day they opened. Keeping employees that long, especially in the restaurant industry shows it makes a wonderful workplace as well!! Keep doing what you're doing Courtside Grille, we'll...
Read moreI had such high hopes for this restaurant because my parents love this place, BUT the manager tonight, Arthur, ruined it for me. We called ahead of time, talked to Meghan, to make sure that they could play the wbc classic Venezuela vs USA. She said once we arrive, the waiter could make it happen. When we arrived, the manager Arthur, completely shut down the idea. He told us that because of March Madness he could not change ONE of the 15+ TVs for us. Needless to say, I was upset and frustrated. But because we were hungry we decided to stay. I then asked our waitress to see if she could make it happen, once again, Arthur shut it down. We ordered our food, which was okay, and rushed to eat so that we could leave to watch the game elsewhere. As we are finishing, we notice that another party asked for the game, and one of the tvs was changed for them. I am so disappointed that this happened. When this happened, the other manager on shift and our waitress tried to make it better and actually changed a tv for us, but we had already rushed through our food. Point of the matter is that whether Arthur was having a bad day or not, his attitude especially as the manager of the restaurant was not welcoming at all. The restaurant was super nice and the vibe was amazing, my parents are local love it. However, tonight’s experience has definitely changed our minds about going...
