Luna Lux Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

Our server (Sarah) was great and food enjoyable. However, the hostess Elenora’s family or people she knew came to the table next to ours. This party proceeded to smoke cigarettes and cigars blowing directly into me and my moms faces as we tried to enjoy Mother’s Day lunch on the patio. We let our server know and they said the smoking area was away from the tables and she would let the manager know. The hostess (who we later found out was pretending to be the manager) then proceeded to speak to the party (who were all Russian speaking so did not know what they were saying but clearly she wasn’t telling them to stop) and told us that smoking was allowed at the dining tables even though our sever said this was not the case. The hostess said she would move us, however, my mom and I already had been eating and sitting at our spot… the hostess (pretending to be the manager) didn’t care and seemed to care more about the party smoking who she clearly knew and was giving preferencial treatment. Why should we have to move our seats due to rudeness of another party? There was plenty of other areas to place them where they could smoke and not blow it directly into our faces and food…It was also our first time here as we wanted to try somewhere new. If this is how business is conducted at this establishment we definitely will not be back. The first half of our meal was great until the smoking party came and ruined the second half with the hostess okay and encouragement… spent $160 including tip for the waitress to smell cigars and cigarette smoke for the second half of our meal. So it is a Friday the place is empty but busy. The bar tender had abou14 people all ordering sophisticated drinks fresh squueezed,mulledand and chilled. It is not often you see on a menue 12 year old McCallin scotch in a mixed drink. But this place cares they keep 4 Roses Bourbon in the well.

The bar tender was making amazing drinks. If I was trying to impress those are what I would order. But I was in a chill mood bud lite more my thing today. So with in less then 5 seconds greeted with hello and unhurried smile...Not my best shirt (one blood) glow in the dark orange the shirt I wear so cars do not hit me when walking.

Well my water came fast with out asking less then 30 seconds. Then my bud lite same time wow excellent staff. Plugged in the phone no dirty looks. Bar tender suggested shrimp pizza thin crust love this crust I love shrimp fresh.If you like arugala try magarita. All happy hour prices. I was catching a bus to the airport in 40 minutes every thing delivered and served with out worries about time.

Then to my surprise live music Friday night happy hour. Often musicians are tallented but hard to look at not here, not here. My first thought when the talent sat at the bar was wow Raymond James, must be hiring models and are women natural magicians how does some one do Swedish braid with out calling a hair salon- home.

Then Two songs but she owned it and played to the room not to loud not to soft. Best of this Fleet Wood Mac was owned by the singer not an attempted copy or fake falsetto....

This Restaurant is in a league of its own. Terrific food, well priced, packed with color and flavorful dishes. While we only had 2 meals from here, we were full each time and the portions seemed overflowing. Elina was an amazing Waitress making sure I had everything I needed since I was taking it back to our room. The first meal was a hamburger and my wife had their lamburger. But burgers were cooked to perfection with the right amount of moistness and the buns were cooked on the grill with a nice fullness of crisp. One of the best burgers I have ever had. And then there were a bunch of artisan frenchfries. Almost overflowing the container. They tasted great by themselves but I am a BBQ guy, so I ate mine with bbq sauce. I was so full after this meal, that it was almost 10 hours later when we had dinner. For dinner, we got their White pizza. There was plenty of food for us. Unlike other White pizzas I have had before, this was had spinach and grape tomatoes. How they cooked the spinach and tomatos on a pizza and turn out so packed with color and flavor is beyond me, all I know is that it was perfect. Located in the lobby of the Hilton hotel. This restaurant is definitely worth visiting and getting...
