Tell you some'n, Popeyes- you've got you a Top-Notch employee named ISABEL.. What a sweetheart! On my way home from work, I knew I'd be too tired to cook anything. Isabel took my order with such accuracy AND told me of a coupon you had, which allowed me to add another Side order with a discount. She hinted at me to wait, only if I wanted to, making sure I got the newly battered & prepped chicken. Told her I'd gladly wait & will go inside the store within 15 minutes to collect. Sitting in car, minding my business & before I knew it, Isabel was waving at me to the side, my food in hand. She relished what meals I'd paid for, to make I got it right, asked if I had enough sauce, then thanked me (you believe that) for stopping by, with a genuine smile on her face & that beautiful accent of hers. I've always received such good service at this location, even when they're short-staffed. Today, dare I say, I felt like Royalty! Such great, bloody service. I'm happy!☺ TY4 Isabel indeed!
Sept 25th- Update. Do NOT go to Popeyes on a Saturday. Very rude young Millenials & older Gen Zers dominate the restaurant & are, simply put, rude beyond the pale! A GenZer served me Fanta with a fly under the lid. When I explained this to the Millenial, she told me that she can't take back the drink but will give me another one. Asked her what should I do with the original, she made a loud sigh of exasperation, took the drink impatiently, threw it in the nearby garbage & served me the wrong drink. When advised her of this, she repeated the same bad behaviour, handed me my fresh drink then walk away. Mind you, she never apologized ONCE for the bloody fly in my drink. The GenZer returned with my food & when I told her what happened (mind you, she was the one who served me the drink in the 1st place) I deliberately kept my voice calm whilst I relayed all that transpired, told her mistakes do happen but need to be careful next time AND courteous (that whole time she was staring at me with an expression of lost-in-boredom) then she finally mustered a flat apology. I must say, I was quite impressed with how I kept my Jamaican-ratchedness in check. If you must go to a Popeyes on a Saturday, avoid the one on Hillsborough between the self-car wash & the Dentist office by the Lutheran's church. They are positively...
Read moreThis is possibly the last time I eat at Popeyes... well, this one, for sure, never again. We went to Popeyes last night and I regret that decision. We go to the drive thru and they tell us they can only take cash through the DT. Card only, inside. Ok. So we go inside. To start, we stood there for about 5 minutes before even being acknowledged. There was only 1 other person in front of us and not that many in the DT. So she takes our order, and while my fiance is telling her what he wants, she interrupts him, SEVERAL times, to talk thru her headpiece to someone in the store. And it wasn't work related. Several times! While he's speaking! So ok, order has been taken. In front of the soda machine, there is a puddle, like a deep puddle that my socks got wet! I was wearing slides and my socks got wet! Water was apparently pouring from the machine! Ok. So we get our drinks and my fiance says, hope you're ready to wait cuz I feel like it's going to be a while (and a while it was). So, as we were waiting, the conversations were loud and obnoxious. Like, conversations between the employees. Cursing and just EXTREMELY unprofessional. Even a "F$&% Popeyes" was said by an employee. We moved closer to the front (te remind them we were still there) because at this point it had been about 10 minutes! Finally we get our food. We take it and go outside and luckily decide to check our food. All I got was a 2 piece meal and my fiance a sandwich meal. Nothing crazy. And they STILL forgot to give his fries! So back inside I go! Finally got the fries, and surprise, they were cold. When I finally got to eat, I was even more disappointed to taste my chicken. It tasted like old reheated chicken. And my mashed potatoes were hard and dry... definitley not a meal woth $27! So disappointed. This store needs to be shut down and either revamped or just left closed. Oh yeah, and it was so dirty inside too. Like I said,...
Read moreBad location. Visited on Sunday, June 29 at 6 PM. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich meal at the drive thru. The drive thru employee told me to pull into the parking lot and they'd bring my food out. I parked and waited. Just a couple other cars there and slow business. I can see the employees inside and they can see my car. Waited 15 minutes, maybe more, before getting tired and went inside. Big bag of trash from the bin immediately in front of the entrance door blocking the way, that was there the whole time I was parked, that I had to step around. No tables inside. Big open space with some booths. Strange. I stepped up to the counter. Neither of the two employees came over to help me for a couple minutes. Both talking to each other in the back. I had to call out to get their attention. I tell him I'm waiting on my order. The guy picks up a bag from behind the counter that's been sitting there for a while and hands it to me. "Sorry", he says unapologetically.
No sauce like I asked for at the window. But I wasn't about to spend any more time there. Turns out I didn't need I anyway. Sandwich tasted old and tough and was slathered in tons nasty spicy sauce. Bacon was tough, so I picked that off. Fries were cold. At a place where they have trash on the floor, I didn't trust the soda. Stoped eating halfway through getting concerned I'd get sick from it. Had a ton of indigestion afterwards.
I've been at this location once 15 years ago and it was fine then. It's really gone downhill. I will never be back. From the lack of customers, and the other bad reviews, which I looked at while waiting for my food, others have had the same experience.
To the owner: You're wasting your money. Shut. It. Down. Or fire everyone and rework your business, hire competent employees and managers who actually know what...
