Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Florida

Updated 6/15/24 We went to this place for lunch today and we waited to get our orders for 1 hour and 15 minutes. There were no apologies, just excuses when I checked every 20 minutes. The reason given was our order for 6 people will take many chickens to load. Geez. This place then no longer qualifies to be a fast food. This Popeyes branch is now the worst Popeye fast food in this area beating the one in Sun City. Sun city branch last time we visited has gotten so much better. The garbage stench outside has not improved either since the last time. What made this incident worse is the manager was there, and you would think, he would initiate the apologies to the customers, but “No”. For the whole hour, no one was cleaning up the lobby either. Many are waiting and giving up for the long wait. The Owner and Corporate probably need to be informed of this low standard. This is a sad and sorry business management. What happened to Popeyes management in this area?

10/22/23 Kids has always loved Popeyes’ chicken but unfortunately, the service compared to how Popeye’s were effectively run in the SF Bay Area, CA, at least when we were there before pandemic, is just night and day. The service here is very very slow since we have been going for almost 3 years. But at least this place is not as bad as the one in Sun City. We think the one in Ellenton is slightly better in service, but still below the standard as we were accustomed to in CA. I just don’t understand the standard placed by management in this area. There was also some water drains flowing that cuts between the the parking lot and the entrance door. It’s a water drain that seems to come from some garbage bin which gave a horrible sewage stench and where customers can easily walk over when walking from their cars to the entrance door. But despite of all of these negatives, we have never given up with this franchise and have high hopes that Popeyes will eventually some day find the right Managers to run this area that will provide quality service...

Update 11-22-2024 I drove here 25 minutes out of my way. A total waste of money and time! I waited in line at the drive thru the first time for 10 minutes before I was able to order. Being told that it was only “exact cash or card only”. And they only had bottled water and premium drinks. Seriously? Then I had to repeat myself four times on my order. I am from here. Finally, I was able to pay for my order and was told to pull out back , they’d bring my order to me. Several minutes later a woman brought my order out. As she was walking away, I checked my or de r only to find burnt French fries and maybe 6 shrimp. I called out to her as she was walking away, but apparently she “didn’t hear me”. My window wasn’t working properly so I couldn’t go in. So I pulled back into the drive thru. Waited another 15 minutes. Finally got to the window and asked for a refund or fries that weren’t burnt. I had to repeat myself twice. The lady without saying anything, turned around bagged up a small fry and said have a good one. I get going and start looking for my shrimp that I just wasted $12 and 45 minutes on and guess what 3 shrimp and 3 hard fried pieces of breading. I am livid!! This place needs to be shut down. Repeatedly, every order for almost everyone is wrong or not quality food. This location is a bust! It starts at the top, remember that. We will never return to this location and will be passing along that word of mouth information.

So very disappointed. Ordered shrimp with french fries. Shrimp was mostly bread pieces. No shrimp. And it had been sitting for a while. Not sure how this was possible as it was noonish. Unless employees decided to have an early snack or whatever. I did not get what I paid for. French fries were also old. The only thing enjoyed,was the biscuit. So disappointed, because when it's actually shrimp and fresh, it's Good. And they had a line in front of me. So , no excuse. It should have been fresh and shrimp, not fried...

Completely disrespectful and rude employees! This place has to be the most unprofessional establishment I have ever been to. Went about 6 months ago, had a horrible experience. Waited over 30 minutes in drive through to get cold food after dealing with a horrible staff member. Swore I would never go back. However, now, 6 months later, I thought I'd give it another chance. Big mistake! Pulled up into the drive thru with only one car in front of me. There were no customers in the store, so not sure why what was about to happen took place. Sat waiting for the staff to acknowledge the car in front of me for 10 minutes. He finally orders and pulls forward. I now sit for another few minutes before I'm asked if I'm ready to order. I say yes, and proceed to place an order for a #7 with fries and mac-n-cheese. The ride employed says, "Yo, I dont even know what you ordered!" Really??? The attitude is post poor, so I told him to go ahead and cancel the order. As I pulled away I look into the window and there are about 7 employees standing around chit chatting, and here is Mr. Personality flipping me off as I drive off. Class act!! And this is why I will NEVER give my hard earned money to this low class establishment again. And it's a shame because I actually love Popeyes food. But they have lost me and my family as...
