My experience at Shoeless Joe’s on Saturday, April 26, 2025, was deeply disappointing and upsetting.
I arrived with a group of about 10–15 guests after a private dinner, hoping to enjoy drinks and conversation at the outdoor bar. Unfortunately, what we walked into was a completely overwhelmed scene with only one bartender outside and zero support.
Wanting to help, not hinder, I went inside and politely asked for assistance. To my shock, the manager on duty, Susan, and three other staff members were sitting around doing nothing. Rather than stepping in or even acknowledging the situation, Susan was dismissive, cold, and acted like I was a problem for simply pointing out that the bartender needed help.
Things only got worse. The bartender outside was openly rude, aggressive, and completely unprofessional. My guests and I were made to feel like an unwanted burden. Orders were mishandled and drinks were left sitting out. Bills were inaccurate and in some cases charged twice. We were ignored for long stretches while other guests were served ahead of us.
I tried to remain calm, thanked the bartender, and attempted to reset the tone but it was obvious we weren’t welcome. When I approached Susan again, her response was, “This is normal for Saturday nights.” That attitude alone tells me everything I need to know about the culture here.
Let me be clear: I did not host my event at Shoeless Joe’s but I brought my guests here to continue what had been a positive evening. Sadly, the experience here was anything but. I paid for everything myself that night, just to avoid further embarrassment in front of my clients. No one should be treated like this especially not at an establishment that claims to care about service.
Shoeless Joe’s made a lasting impression, and unfortunately, it was one I’ll never forget for all the wrong reasons. I will not be returning, and I’ll be encouraging others to take their...
Read moreWe stayed at Crowne Plaza 2 nights. We received vouchers for breakfast at Shoeless Joe's. The first day we received fantastic service. The gentleman serving us was all over it. Checking on us as one would expect from a good server. Day 2...yeah. Not so much. Of the 5 servers running around, one of them was, "I don't normally do breakfast, so I'll find someone who knows what questions to ask." That was after almost 10 minutes before any acknowledgement. Then finally ordered hot tea and coffee. Which took 5 minutes to get. Another 5 or so minutes to take our order. " Let me check to see if we have fresh fruit. ". 5 minutes later," Okay, we have fresh fruit." placed our order. Fifteen minutes later the couple who was here, and had placed their order before us received their food. The food runner checked on us, asking whet we ordered. He appeared to be the only person that cared if anyone was served. All of the waitresses and the bartender acted totally put out when asked for anything. There was a table of 7 that had to walk up to a server and tell her that their table was all here and ready to order. Needless to say we'll be finding someplace else for breakfast. Which means probably a different place to stay. We would have liked to hang out a bit and watch the Cup, but were afraid of inconveniencing the employees further. When we cashed out, we had to remind the waitress of our vouchers when it was obvious everyone in the place was from the hotel and had vouchers. There was more incompetence and in concern not worth noting... BTW, I greatly dislike posting reviews like this, but if I was the owner, I'd...
Read moreHusband and I went in for the fish special. Both of us had the grilled fish and I also ordered soup. The waitress brought our drinks, last we saw of her. 3 elderly people came in about 10 minutes after us, their waiter came took their order. Then he brought them their drinks, then he came back with their soup. I called him over to get my waitress to bring me my soup, as I still hadnt gotten mine. Shebrings my soup, no apology. Our waitress then went and took another couples order. Still waiting for our food to come when the waiter of the elderly table brought their fish dinners to them. I am now very mad so we got up and I went to the girl at the register so I could pay for what we received. She went to get our waitress, who then came out with the couples fish dinner that ordered way after us. She then asked what the problem was , I told her the problem was we still hadnt received our food and you just served them theirs. A good waitess would have noticed that, restaurant was not busy , so no excuse. The service we received today was totally inexcusable, waitess acted like she didnt care about her customers. I was a waitess for many years and I would have gone broke had I treated my...
