Greetings All, I wanted to take the opportunity to share my recent and first experience patronizing SKILLETS BREAKFAST/LUNCH restaurant located in the Garden Shops in Boca Raton, Florida, on Sunday, May 14, 2023 (MOTHER’S DAY). Upon arrival, my wife and I, noted the bright and very appealing dining area. Eye opening contrasting colors of red and yellow beckoned for one to enter and prepare to enjoy. Within seconds of entering, we were seated by a very friendly host. Once seated, we were promptly greeted by “Kristoff” our server. I immediately noted that Kristoff took pride in his position and wanted to ensure that those he served had a pleasurable experience. Kristoff, was not just the average server, that would come to your table, drop a menu, turn, and disappear. No, Kristoff, from the beginning was noted to be very welcoming, pleasant, and well organized. Being that it was my wife and I, first time visiting, Kristoff fully explained our menu options and offered suggestions when he sensed any indecisiveness. Kristoff definitely knew his menu and asked appropriate questions in order to deliver great service. Oh, I must not fail to mentioned that Kristoff’s most infectious smile 😊 was a bonus. While we perused the menu of its dozens of delectable items, Kristoff, with a bright smile remained very patient and attentive. Kristoff made my wife and I feel that we were his only guest and that we had his undivided attention. Kristoff, exhibiting the definition of being a multi-tasker, was also able to adequately attend to multiple other guest that were seated in his assigned area. After taking our drink and food orders, Kristoff promptly returned with our very delicious selections. While dining, Kristoff assured that we were comfortable and satisfied with everything. In closing, I simply want to express that Kristoff is truly an asset to the SKILLETS restaurant brand and my wife and I will not only be returning, but will spread the word, and bring others. GET READY KRISTOFF!!! WE WILL BE RETURNING. Gratefully...
Read moreWe returned to Skillet for breakfast and I was craving waffles – they did not disappoint! Our server, Maria, was attentive and checked in on us regularly, even though we had already received our coffee and teas. Note coffees and teas are served not only in cups …. they give you a kettle so you don’t have to keep asking for refills.
The service at Skillet is always excellent, although my husband is a bit of a coffee connoisseur and found the coffee to his liking.
Update- Came back again in September 17. Robert was our server and he was awesome. This time, we ordered corn beef hash platter and Pancake platter with chicken sausage. Both corn beef hash and chicken apple sausage were homemade and they were delicious. Coffee this time was weak. Anyway, Skillet is still one of our breakfast place favorites.
Initial-This place is located right across Publix and when we arrived on a Sunday morning at around 10:30am , people were already waiting outside. I could say they have a pretty fast turnover, less than 5 minutes . It's decor is similar to Tom Sawyer but a bit contemporary. The place was very busy and though short staffed , the employees were awfully friendly. Hannah was our server and she's very nice. I messed up my order and knowing they were busy, I followed her. The manager saw me and asked if I need help. My request was attended quickly. There's a menu posted on the outside wall by the entrance so do yourself a favor to peruse so you can order immediately . Keep in mind very busy so please be patient.
We enjoyed our breakfast: pancake, side of corned beef hash, Denver omelette and separately ordered biscuits . The biscuits were served piping hot. I rated 5 star because of overall experience - homey feel, nice and clean, friendly staff and good food.

Read moreIf you're on the hunt for a breakfast spot that feels like a warm hug from a fluffy pancake, look no further than Skillets. This place is the breakfast equivalent of a cozy blanket on a rainy day—except with scones. Glorious, perfectly crumbly scones that make you wonder why you haven't been eating them every morning of your life.
My latest brunch adventure led me to a Tex-Mex omelette that was so good, it could have convinced me to trade my passport for a skillet. Spicy, savory, and packed with flavor, it was everything an omelette should be—and more. My girlfriend, meanwhile, indulged in a platter that featured a chocolate chip pancake so gooey and decadent, it practically needed a lifeguard to keep it from diving off the plate. The apple sausage was the perfect sidekick—sweet, savory, and just the right amount of crispy.
We've been to Skillets more times than I can count (and believe me, I can count pretty high when pancakes are involved), and every visit is a deliciously cozy experience. Whether you're a brunch enthusiast or just someone who appreciates a pancake that isn't afraid to melt in your mouth, Skillets is the place to be.
Highly recommend for brunch—just be prepared to fall in love with breakfast...
