fantastic food but I noticed running back in to toss my bowl there's a qr code to access the menu. give a copy of that to the employees! I was only 1 of 2 people in line, we were both told different things. I was directed to a TV with an alternating screen. so when it wasn't the menu showing, I just sort of staring off. I ended up letting the employee know that I couldn't read the screen. she was apologetic but it's not her fault. at this point I hadn't seen the qr code. the guy behind me was offered to look over the cheat sheet ingredient cards. so, why aren't the employees trained to offer a dang qr code. I'm going on 40, looking up that hard from so close isnt a good time. not a huge deal but this could use some improvement. when I asked about a menu she sort of gave me a funny look like "duh" when i turned to walk away, i looked back right as she went to give her co worker a silent conversation with her eyes, sort of making fun of me. I ended up letting her know that I was excited to try it, as this is my first time here. she was kind and said they were gluten free. I didn't know that, cool! so in the end, delicious food. menu access could use improvement. and the girl who made my bowl should try to watch her face. no one wants that sort of treatment, especially first experience with their establishment. I understand working that environment, you'll come across a bunch of weirdos but best bet is to treat everyone with friendliness and kindness - avoiding judgement. it was a simple...
Read moreI wanted to provide feedback on our first-time experience today at this location. We not only enjoyed our time but the food! It's great to find a place that serves foods similar to how we cook at home! And that everything is gluten-free (and dairy-free options as well) and fairly priced! The restaurant was also very clean and had good lighting. I also want to recognize Talya, one of the employees, for her kind and friendly customer service and going above and beyond by asking the cooks for us what type of sugar is used in preparing specific foods. Additionally, I noticed she was never idle but was always making sure the restaurant was clean and presentable.
Our questions: why add sugar to sauces or even soak the foods so much in sauces? The food is great without it! And curious why beef is not served?
Thank you! And hope a location opens up in...
Read moreMy daughter and I went to Bolay for lunch the other day. Our friend had recommended it. He and his partner had tried it and loved it. It was packed, including a group of police officers (always a good sign). I am a vegan and the choices were great. I got a large bowl with sweet potato noodles, black rice, broccoli, mushrooms, double tofu, the creamy garlic sauce and sirachia. I also added the chimichurri tomatoes for a little extra, they added a bright pop. It was delicious, very filling without being heavy. Their tofu is awesome, so much flavor. They have lots of meat choices if you want. My daughter is flexatarian, she got the tofu and enjoyed it a lot. She also got the kale yeah salad. I tasted it and I will get that next time, very good. On top of everything, it's all gluten free. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will...
