So we drive by this place once in a while and today we finally give in to the advertisement "World Famous Cheese Steak". No drive-thru, so in we went. In today's pandemic chaos I've learned how to see red flags more clearly. The place was visibly unclean in the inside seating area and plastic utensils were unwrapped and sitting in open containers. Self serve fountain drinks with unwrapped lids. Not feeling to confident at this point, but we were starving. So we order. And boy do we regret that decision. I ordered a Monte Cristo and my husband ordered a World famous cheese steak sandwich. Fries and a drink to make a combo. Total came to $28.92. These better be good, we thought, at almost $15 bucks a person. I'm usually not one to write bad reviews, as I respect how hard folks work to earn their income. But sincerely, from the luke-warm greeting to the end product this was a total disappointment. The cheese steak was definitely not an authentic Philly and they dress it with an overpowering sauce and bitter tasting onions that throws off the entire taste of the sandwich. Sorry, that's in our Philly loving ❤ opinion. And then there was the Monte Cristo. Dripping in bad tasting oil. There was no eating that. It was saturated through and through. The miniscule ham and turkey and Swiss were swimming in grease. My husband and I were an hour and a half away from home. All the way home we felt unsettling tummies and an aftertaste that left us sick on throwing away nearly $30 bucks. In my opinion, lots of room for improvement. My first "will never...
Read moreIf I could give it 0 stars I would. First off, the employees were trying to arrange the prep stations as we were walking in. I’m talking about moving the actual, large equipment. Therefore, we had to wait about 5-7 minutes for them to fix our subs. Then, they began part of our order. I said part because, in the middle of our order, they decided to make the two different customers behind us subs! What in the world! Who does that? Who goes to the other customers BEHIND us, before completing the order you are working on? No customer service at all! But wait, there is more. So they attempt to complete our subs, but doesn’t ask us how we want them. They decided to make both of the steak and cheese subs the same. Nobody told them to do that! If they were focusing on completing my order, before jumping to the customers behind me then they would have known!! On top of that, one guy was sweating and wiping his sweat on his shirt, which in turn was touching the subs as he was grabbing toppings. Disgusting! After this experience, I will not be visiting this...
Read moreI was in there 4/3 after working a long week, I work in healthcare and it has been trying. When I came in the ladies smiled at me and helped me order since it was my first time. The one that helped me was very sweet and I wish I had her name. Another customer a gentleman came In behind me. They greeted him with the same smile and friendly attitude. While paying the woman could tell i was flustered and stressed and was very sweet and talked to me calmly. The gentleman behind me kept mumbling under his breath about hurrying up. Once she was done serving me she helped the gentleman quickly and she placed neatly PLACED, his money on the counter he snapped at her and told her to "watch her attitude and he hand her his money so she needs to pick it up and hand it back to him, he doesn't play that way." She smiled and quickly said so sorry and handed him the money. She handled it so much better than I would have,so mad props to these guys working through this craziness and still having to deal with people like him. You guys rock and thank...
