Indian Express Sanford — Restaurant in Sanford

I HIGHLY recommend you make Indian Express Sanford your next takeout meal. They are a family owned business that have been open for about 6 months and I found them today on St. John’s parkway just off of Rhineheart Rd. The food was fresh and so delicious! They are a takeout only spot and you can order ahead online or via delivery apps, but I decided to walk in.

Sneha took my order (which took a short 15-20 minutes to come out) and was happy to chat with me about the history of their business, Sanford, favorite dishes and gave me the scoop on some things to come. If Sneha and the food are any indication, Indian Express has a bright future in Sanford!

My go to meal anytime I try a new Indian Restaurant is Butter Chicken (medium) Vegetable Samosas and garlic naan. I’ll let the pictures below do most of the talking, but WOW I enjoyed everything very much (yes that garlic naan smells and tastes as good as it looks.) I frequent 5th Element and Royal Rosoi (Sanford/Lake Mary) and I have to say that this was the best I’ve had in the area by a mile. The portion sizes were generous and a great value. I was pretty hungry and still had some left over when I was full. I could happily have split an entree with my wife, but the samosas are mine! 😂

Wow!! I am SO excited to have found this place. Ironically, it's in the same shopping center as my nail place but I never noticed it somehow. My favorite Indian restaurant is in Altamonte but living in Lake Mary, that's not always convenient. So I started seeing excellent reviews for Indian Express & decided to try it tonight. My husband went to pick it up and in chatting with the owner, discovered its the same person that owned our favorite place!! The food did not disappoint! I got what I get at every Indian restaurant - the chicken korma. This is the BEST I have ever had. My husband & brother kept dipping their naan in my sauce (we got the garlic & the cheese naan and they were both just ok). My husband got the tandoori chicken and loved it. I'm so so happy our new favorite Indian restaurant is right...

If you enjoy Indian cuisine, then this place is a must-try. I went there to pick up lunch one day and was pleasantly surprised! The serving portions are very generous. The food, summed up in one word, is "delicious." They have lunch specials and a nice variety of menu options, from appetizers to entrees to side items. All entrees are served with naan bread. They also have options for vegetarians. This is only a takeout place, with no dine-in seating, but the food is worth the drive to pick it up. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a seating area for customers to wait for their food. You can order online through their website and pick it up instead of waiting in their lobby area. I will definitely try this place again soon. They are open for lunch and dinner. Highly recommended...
