I rarely ever have to post a disappointing review mainly due to the review community who leads me on who to trust but this was BAD.
This was the worst food/restaurant experience I have ever had. Located inside the Texaco gas station was this real gem. You order from the counter, no complimentary chips and salsa (that's $5), and drinks must be purchased from the gas station on the other side.
Next, my wife's chicken fajitas came out. You get a few ounces of chicken with a few peppers, no salsa, no sour cream, and no lettuce. The refried beans were can quality and the rice was clumpy and cold. No flour tortillas were brought out until I went back to the counter after 5 minutes and asked where they were. They said the tortillas had to be made so we sat there with the rest of the food getting cold and no tortillas for 10 minutes.
I ordered the California steak burrito which had no steak to be found. It was a large flour tortilla full of lukewarm refried beans and sour cream.
The only half decent thing was my two shrimp tacos which I found to be flavorful but the rest of the meal just ruined my experience here. All this for $23.
I beg you please do not go to Taco Jalisco unless you enjoy terrible disorganized service, no care attitudes, and barely...

Felt like I was sitting at my friends Abuela house!!
This is the BEST Mexican restaurant in Sarasota! I am originally From Texas and this place beats any restaurant back home!!!!! We didn’t take any pictures cause the food was that damn good hahahh!
We had 4 Barbacoa Tacos(juicy&flavor packed) Flautas which were our favorite( covered in cabbage crema and cheese) Rice&Beans Chicken Quesadilla Chips and salsa
You simply order at the front and pay gas station register and keep you paid ticket to show we you snag your food!
Let me tell you this is our new go to spot! The people leaving ignorant reviews and taken away stars because a tortilla fell apart obviously don’t appreciate quality/handmade! It was hard driving away but so glad we...
Read moreFirst time I had the tacos they were delicious and totally authentic. I ordered a steak, onion & cilatro that tasted great, a fish taco that was fresh and a couple regular soft tacos that were beef. They were not oily or greasy and the flavor was really good on all the different tacos. I was certainly impressed as I have eaten authentic Mexican food in several different cities and countries. Unfortunately the second time I went back the tacos were awful and disappointing. The fish tacos tasted terrible and the simple beef and cheese were so greasy and oily that they literally fell apart as soon as I picked it up. The taste was that of a taco kit you can buy at any local...
