I was at this location last night for dinner @ 7pm. With my wife, my mother, and stepfather. We were celebrating my mom's & stepfather's birthdays. The main issue we had with All the food was CONSISTENCY. From quality, to cook, & taste. Some items were very good & some Inedible.
Dear LongHorn Steakhouse Team, My family and I have been loyal guests of LongHorn for over 25 years. We originally visited the North Attleboro, MA location on Route 1 every Friday without fail. When we moved to Bradenton, Florida five years ago, we continued our tradition at the Sarasota location, and more recently, have become regulars at your new Bradenton (SR 64) restaurant—visiting once or twice a week. LongHorn has always been our favorite spot, which is why I’m taking the time to share some feedback about a recent experience that left us disappointed. On Friday, August 7th, we had friends visiting from Italy who were excited to enjoy a good steak. It was raining heavily, and the Bradenton location was extremely busy, so we decided to head to the Sarasota restaurant, where a table was available immediately. As usual, I ordered a Stella and a Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey—my preferred drink combination. When our food arrived, I requested another round. However, I was served straight whiskey instead of the Jack Honey. I politely asked the server to correct it, and he explained they didn’t have the key for Jack Honey, which I understood. He returned with what was supposed to be the corrected drink. Unfortunately, it became clear after a sip that the original drink had not been replaced but rather mixed with Jack Honey, resulting in a poor-tasting drink. It was quite disappointing, especially given the effort we make to dine regularly at LongHorn and the amount we spent that evening. While we understand that occasional issues like undercooked or overcooked steaks can happen, this experience stood out as particularly frustrating—not just for the drink mistake, but for how it was handled. I share this feedback out of care and appreciation for LongHorn. It’s truly our favorite place, and we want every visit to live up to the high standards we've come to expect over the years. Thank you for taking the time to listen, and we hope this helps improve the experience for loyal guests like us in the future. Just a quick thought — if someone is still wearing a mask today, it might suggest they’re not feeling well. And if that’s the case, it raises concerns about whether they should be working in food service or customer-facing roles while sick. Just something...
Read moreThis was the disappointment of a lifetime. We have been customers of Longhorn for many years in our home town in Georgia. We just moved to Florida and although it wasn't close to where we lived, we decided to go have a night out at the Longhorn in Sarasota. Big disappointment. I had ordered my usual tenderloin filet, medium cooked. When I got it, it looked like it COULD be a filet, but it was about half the thickness of the ones I had had before AND also about half the thickness of the picture on the menu. It was also almost well-done. I called the server over and he agreed on the well-done part. When I asked about the thickness, I was told that they "HAND-CUT" their filets so it may not look like the picture. REALLY? So you cut them 1/2 the thickness to make two steaks instead of one?! How cost-saving for the restaurant! So, sent it back and got the other one and it was cooked correctly. However, it was not tender AND I ordered according to the "advertised" picture! For them to make an excuse is not acceptable to me. Not only that, but the manager(or assistant manager) was at the booth behind us asking if they were enjoying their meal and I watched as she glanced our way, while I was explaining my dilemma of the thickness to the server, and then WALKED THE OTHER WAY!! Never even offered to address OUR situation! I only ate a bite of it since my spouse was about finished at this point, so we paid the bill and left. Yes, I know. I probably shouldn't have paid for it. However, WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND I HAVE TOLD EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUT THIS EVENT. I could have forgiven it if it had just been addressed by the manager and I had been offered another choice. I don't usually give bad reviews on restaurants because there are so many variables. But a manager not addressing a customers dilemma just shows what is acceptable at that restaurant. And I don't accept that. There are too many GREAT restaurants in our area to have to put up with excuses and bad behavior...
