Fin & Tonic — Restaurant in Florida

Last night I went to Fin & Tonic with my family and we had an absolutely AMAZING experience! The hostess was so warm and inviting and made us feel at home immediately. My daughter was very excited to receive a kids menu with crayons and Wikki Stix to play with! She loved the flat screens around the dining room that had live footage of tropical fish and turtles. She ate her entire grilled cheese sandwich with fries and enjoyed some of our Wedge Salad as well, which was outstanding by the way! We loved the Nitro Espresso Martinis so much that I ordered 2. My husband is a big Key Lime lover, so he had to try the Key Lime Martini, which was superb, especially the tasty graham cracker rim!

Mallory, our server, was attentive, kind and made great recommendations. We hope to sit in her section next time we're in! We were lucky enough to be greeted by the owner Javi whose warmth and passion made us feel right at home (Go Yankees).

We loved the Grouper Bites and the Coconut Shrimp had a delicious sweet, tangy, curry sauce and was perfectly crusted and plump. My husband had the Fish & Chips, which he described as the best he's ever had... and that means a lot coming from him! The cod was perfectly cooked, dipped in fresh batter and fried to order. You won't find better fish & chips in Sarasota! I had a beautifully cooked Red Snapper that came with a delicious mango salsa on top, which added a nice, refreshing flavor to the overall dish.

We had a serious "What About Bob" moment with the Apple Crisp at the end of our meal, "mmm...mmmm...mmm" was all you could hear from a surrounding table or booth. It was perfectly warm, with a lovely crust and had a delicious chunky apple filling. We enjoyed 2 espressos with the Apple Crisp, which were served in adorable espresso cups with a lemon twist, which was a nice touch.

We can't wait to come back with visiting friends or family, on date night or with our daughter. The ambience is elegant and classy without being stuffy. Definitely worth the visit and looking forward to...

Uodate on the review below. We did a return visit a few days ago. The experience , if possible , was even better. Super customer focused team. The owners continue to be omnipresent and seeking feedback from customers. High communication team between all the staff and the kitchen. The chef definitely know how to treat fish. I had the most amazing Chilean Sea Bass ever. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Not over whelmed with topping just highlighted the fresh subtle taste of the fish. My wife had the fish and chips. Perfect , made with cod and just a nice light batter. Emily our waitress was super attentive and helpful. Two for two 10/10 experiences!

Not often you walk into a new restaurant with an instant WOW! impact. The room is super contemporary including the changing digital art on the walls. Great modern lighting. The bar area just makes ya wanna grab a chair. As it turns out the resto is really 3 in one...a bar, a restaurant and a sports bar. All amazingly decorated. Its very clear quickly there is a client centric focus with all the staff. Very friendly ,which is expected, but they are obviously trained to answer any client question, if they don't have the answer they will get it quickly from a colleague or one of the omni present owners. They treat every client one at a time and never tire of the endless questions from a new place. The food is deceiving. All great but each dish seems to have its own creative tasty twist. The pork belly ends on the devilled eggs, the Thai salad with the ribs ,the unique dipping sauce with the edamame ... Super versatile wine list, good , better ,best in all categories and very fairly priced.
