Terrible service, will not come back again.
We arrived at the pub for dinner during Monday night trivia, and put our names in for a table. We were told there was a 20-minute wait for a table, so decided to go up to the bar and order drinks while we were waiting. Most of our party did not open tabs at the bar since we planned on ordering more drinks and food once we were seated at a table. After a relatively short wait, we were showed to our table. We did not receive menus when we were seated, and were not visited at any point by a server. Finally, after a very long wait, we went up to the front of the restaurant to ask about getting menus and were handed a single menu. After another wait, we went back to the front to ask for more menus since one menu was not enough for five people. After receiving the menus, we waited yet again but still saw absolutely no sign of a server to help us. We went up to the front of the restaurant again and asked whether we were supposed to order at the bar or if there would be someone to serve us at our table, and were told that a server would be there to see us as soon as possible. After another wait, a server did finally show up to take our orders.
At the end of our meal, we asked to speak to a manager to alert them to our extreme disappointment with the service we had experienced so far. After even more waiting to speak with the manager, she finally appeared and we explained the circumstances. The manager was completely unapologetic about the situation, and claimed that her staff thought we had opened tabs at the bar and would not be ordering at the table, despite the fact that the majority of our group had already closed our tabs at the bar. I can understand why the staff may have had this thought initially, but it should absolutely not have taken three trips to the front of the restaurant just to see a server. The manager said that next time we come we should ask for her and she would comp a dessert or a round of drinks, although she didn’t even give us her name to be able to do so.
The food at The Pub was pretty good and they had a decent drink selection, but the lack of service completely ruined our experience. We are frequent visitors to the Naples area, and will not plan on returning to The...
Read moreThis is a great place to sit down by yourself or even better with friends, have a drink, and reminisce about the good Ole days while you are having one. The food has been consistent and delicious. The waitresses are easy on the eyes and surprisingly attentive, and the waiters are too, I must admit . This is what I imagine going to a chippie shop in the UK and getting an ice-cold beer and some fish and chips . I haven't been to the UK yet, but if they don't give me better than what I have experienced here, there will be problems. This is more on the expensive side, but the product and service well warrants the price. As a lone diner, I was well in 50$ with tip because I am no munch . But all in all this has been a great three and more visits and consistency is key and they have naild it every time. I have been here by myself, and I have been here with coworkers. And I have been here on a date with my love and every time has been great. Thanks so much for the dining experience and sharing your tables with me and my loved ones and friends.
